Foremost, this is for Delirium Cafe (downstairs only) of the Delirium complex.

Atmosphere is that of a well known, highly trafficked, tourist place. The place is always packed, the air is always smokey, the pace is always fast, the closing time is always late. Coming here, despite the great bottle list, if you really want to appropriately review a beer, buy it, then head up to the hop lounge to drink in peace. But this is exactly what they purport it to be: a busy and energetic venue.

Quality: well, this is debatable for a craft beer enthusiast. I think the selection is obviously quality. High quality and high diversity. Every beer is poured into the appropriate and when available, branded glass and is served quickly. Some might bitch because of the smoke - welcome to Europe.

Service: I was always met with quick, courteous and helpful service. It's self-serve (go to bar, no table service). No problems, nothing exceptional. Nobody had time to assist with particular questions about the beers, but I can't blame the anything but the popularity of the establishment.

Selection: If you don't know, you need to know.

Food: I don't believe food is available.

Value: The place is actually really reasonable for the area. Beers are priced accordingly for their age and/or rarity in the area. For example: Cantillon Iris 375ml was 7 Euro ($9 USD) really inexpensive US standards, but about right for the area.

I had high hopes on visiting here but was very dissapointed. The 1st 3 beers I asked for where not in stock and many of the 2000 beers claimed are just generic macro lager from different countries. I also drank in the hoppy loft upstairs and while some of the beers i asked for where in stock all 3 where out of date, one by 5 years. There are better beer bars in Brussels Moeder Lambic for example.

It was weird being in such a landmark place, and feeling as though I was crashing a Euro frat party. Very young vibe.

Been here a few times. It's definitely touristy, but they have a great selection of beer. Worth a visit just to say you've been here.

Fantastic selection of mostly Belgian style beers. It's basically self order at the bar and it can be busy and a bit loud, but highly recommended.

Fairly well known, touristy spot but a fun place to visit. Obviously they have their famed 2000+ beer bottle list but might as well drink some DT or DN on draft or wait forever for a bottle. It can get pretty packed so maybe not a place to hang out all night.
