Not at all what I was expecting. Immediately hit with a lemon taste but in a very good way. Much better than you average summer seasonal brew.

Described as a full-bodied yet refreshing dry tart summer wheat ale. The use of acidulated malt gives it a bit of a perceived "sour" touch but there isn't any actual lacto/bacteria in the beer. Salt and subtle spices are added for that Gose-inspired touch. Apparently inspired by a Gose flying dog did with old bay. They used same wheat bill as the Yazoo 10 year IPA, then brewed with coriander and finished with a little sea salt to clean it up.

Poured off tap in the taproom, the second day it was offered. I could drink this all Summer. Appears a bit hazy, light straw colored in the glass. This is a goes-like beer, with the salt and the wheat and the coriander, but without the sour (rumors that a sour version is to come). This is just the perfect combination of sweet malts and salt, like salted caramel or chocolate-covered pretzels. Totally crushable, totally addictive. This is what Summer is for.

I could drink this all Summer.

Freshness: Bottled 05-20-2014
Packaging: 12 oz. brown bottle, pry-cap
Glassware: Shaker pint
Purchased: 6-pack from Midtown, Nashville

Hazy and the color of light honey, with a nice white head that shows good retention.

Smells of wheat and grass, with some underlying acidity/sourness.

The taste is tangy and slightly tart, with a touch of oranges and citrus zest. No bitterness from hops.

Lively carbonated and light in body, it has a finish that is semi-dry and tart, with some saltiness as well.

Different and refreshing, this is an easy drinking beer that is perfect for summer.

A: Slightly hazy, orange tinged translucent yellow with improving visibility toward bottom of pint glass. Ephemeral white champagne like foam.
S: Comes on with an aroma of apple cider. Filled out with scents of apricot, pizza dough, & lemon.
T: Apricot, apple, pear, lime. Light dry bitterness on the front sides of the tongue.
M: Fizzy clean, mildly puckering sourness. Smooth feel.
O: Fresh and tangy. Mildly wheaty with complex fruitiness.

One of the most drinkable Summer ales out there in my opinion.... as an earlier reviewer said, this is very "crushable"... So easy and drinking and refreshing... The sourness and saltiness is perfectly done... I could pound these on a hot summer day... It happens to be rainy and not very hot today but it's still very refreshing.... about to pair it with some homemade sriracha wings and I have a feeling that it's going to be perfect... so glad this isn't a straight pale wheat as those can get tiresome... this offering keeps me guessing... very nice...
