A new version of an American classic. Our Yazoo Pale Ale bursts with spicy, citrusy hop aroma and flavor, coming from the newly discovered Amarillo hop. The wonderful hop aroma is balanced nicely with a toasty malt body, ending with a cleansing hop finish. Made with English Pale, Munich, Vienna, and Crystal malts, and generously hopped with Amarillo, Perle, and Cascade hops. Fermented with our English ale yeast.

I tasted this beer from tap at the brewery in Nashville. I was quite impressed with the lovely color when it was poured, it was not at all a weak, watery looking shade of gold as the term "pale ale" brings to mind, but a beautiful warm honey-colored gold. The head fizzled to just a ring in a very short time. The lacing was verticle, very wet and streaky for the duration of the glass.
The smell was fairly pleasant, honey and hops, kinda strong on the hops.
Yes, very hoppy in taste, tangy, the hops really pops, especially in the aftertaste. The aftertaste was not really offensive, just bitter, too much for me. I guess some would consider it refreshing but it was too bitter for me. The mouthfeel was great however. Light in body but still round and full in the way of not being at all watery, it was substantial, just enough carbonation, and smooth.
The mouthfeel made this drinkable, but as I mentioned the taste was too bitter. I had a rough time finishing my sampler glass.

Two 12oz bottles poured into a large stein
bottled on 12/15/21?
thanks to MaryLou & Kim for the beer!
L: caramel colored body, thick foamy beige head leaves lacing down the glass as it fades
S: herbal hops, caramelized grain, bread crust, pithy citrus
T: nice malt backbone of caramel malt, bread, biscuit, and brown sugar; hops are earthy and herbal with a touch of grapefruit citrus; tea leaf and pine hits on the back end of the dry finish
F: medium body, moderate carbonation, dry and bitter finish
O: pretty good APA

Hazy amber with a frothy convex off-white head.
This has that West Coast, Green Flash-like hop bite of resin and pine that burns a little bit, with a hint of caramel, corn bread and brown toast.
The soft bubbly carbonation comes to a cotton dry finish.
