From 08/09/13 notes. Had this at Rippy's, among other places, over the weekend in Nashville. 12 oz. bottle poured into a pint glass.
a - Pours a deep amber color with two inches of off white head and moderate carbonation evident.
s - Smells of grains, bready malts, caramel malts, and dough. Not a ton going on, though not bad at all.
t - Tastes of grains, caramel, dark fruity malts, caramel malts, bready malts, dough, and biscuit malts. Some nice fruit, better than the nose was.
m - Light to medium body, more onthe light side and moderate carbonation. Overall a good mouthfeel as it is very easy to drink.
o - Overall a solid altbier that is very easy to drink; a nice alternative than al the Bud Lights being drank around you on Broad St. Nice fruit in the taste, worth checking out in a bar with not a lot of craft options.

Nice golden-amber color but that's about it. Tastes like bread and has a sour aftertaste. A little bit of sweet flavor would have helped. The taste is the number one priority which is why I gave it a overall rating to match the taste. Yazoo never fails to disappoint.

Appearance: Pours a clear amber color with a modest head that leaves just a hint of lace behind
Smell: Caramel malt and a hint of husky grain
Taste: Caramel up front, with a growing sweetness; husky grains appear in the mid-palate and linger into the aftertaste, though the predominate feature is the sweet caramel malt
Mouthfeel: Light to medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: Rather disappointed with this beer - don't like the sweetness and I don't care for the husky grains
