Had this on 2013-01-10 in Bowling Green, KY
A - Hazy orange-amber with a 1-finger off-white head and mild lacing.
S - Orange jam spread on a biscuit with a nice hop-floral pot pourri sitting nearby. Sweet and pleasant.
T - Not as sweet as the smell would suggest. Pretty hop forward with plenty of tart orange citrus flesh and grapefruit bitterness. Light touch of pine and pepper. The malt base is in the background. Finishes dry, citrusy and nicely bitter. Over the course of this five days, I've had the opportunity to have this on-tap and in the bottle. The flavor has grown on me.
M - Light-medium body and medium-high carbonation. Crisp, prickly, lightly resinous and refreshing.
O - An interesting concept is at play here with each new batch of Hop Project having a different hops recipe. There's no way this is 28 IBUs as shown on the website. It has to be 60+ at a minimun. I can't speak to any of the previous batches, but this is a good one.

Pours a clear copper color, with a thin, creamy off-white head that leaves lacing everywhere as it travels down the glass. An exceptional nose on this beer, citrus rind, and a bit of mint. Taste begins with a HUGE fresh squeezed grapefruit flavor up front, followed by a bit of herb infused sugar sweetness, then finishing with a piney, grapefruit peel finish. The flavor is overwhelmingly described as fresh squeezed grapefruit. Mouthfeel is rich. Overall an exceptional IPA, very impressed with this beer. I wish I would have purchased more than a 6 pack of it!!!
