First visit to the Yazoo brewery/taproom.
Had a pint on tap and it had a nice reddish orange hue and a solid one finger head. Smelled of a hit a pine resin followed by citrus and a hint of malt. The taste flowed suit and had a solid and crisp mouthfeel. This is pretty darn good, and I am sure 72 will be just as good.

12oz bottle into a pint glass.
Pours a dirty light copper with a thin half finger white head. The head fades away quickly leaving hardly anything in the way of lacing.
I'm hit by a strong caramel/earthy/grassy aroma right off the bat. A little dankness thrown in there as well. It is kind of nice that it doesn't have the whole tropical fruit think going like so many other IPA's.
The flavor hits really hard on the earthy hops like the aroma. There is more caramel in there as well and just a hint of fruit towards the finish. The hops don't really pop, though, like I was hoping. Bitterness is quite high but the mouthfeel is lacking a bit and is a little watery.
Overall, just an ok beer. I feel the appearance and mouthfeels suffers quite a bit and the hop flavor gets a bit muddled.

First review of any Yazoo Hop Project, but I've had probably 80% of them and am a HUGE fan!
A - Medium gold with a billowing three finger head that becomes porous quickly and falls into a thin cap with tons of awesome lacing. Totally Belgian looking.
S - CARAMEL! Creamy, minty, grassy, some pine, a good amount of melon. A lot going on here.
T - Nice balance between hop and malts, the caramel malt really pops next to the melon notes of the Galaxy? hops. Minty as opposed to grassy finish, the effect is great.
M - Medium bodied with just a little hop astringency, and a little booze burn on the palate.
Great job Yazoo!
