Creamy, soft and persistent foam (at the end of the drink there was also a lot of it left in the glass, it did not go away).
Impenetrable black color.
Very light body, as it should be that of an English Stout.
Hints above all of licorice, very light toasted to recall hints of torre faction, cocoa (not too dark).
Dry but not bitter finish.
Tongue and palate remain clean.
Beer designed more to be drunk rather than to leave an indelible memory of oneself, but which perfectly embodies the canons of the historic Anglo-Saxon style.
Very simple beer, absolutely not demanding: perfect example for the style to which it belongs.
As an aperitif / after work it is always a pleasant choice.

Pulled from the cask at Waterloo Tap.
Fresh fresh, soft soft.
Looks better than the standard stout with an appealing head. Smells are milder than expected as the roasting was done gently. Tastes followed that subtlety, but extra points for smoothness and balance; never sweet or cloying. Nicely roasted and blended malts that finish dry. An extraordinary Feel experience for the mouth; the cask conditioning and silkiness took this Stout to another level. Good job.
My first from Moor and I want more.. but will have to wait. Their original brewery is right behind the classic rail station at Bristol Meads. I went on Moor's website and was impressed by their dedication and slow expansion to maintain an obvious quality over 12 years. They also are now in Bermondsey's famous mile; and that may be an easier visit. Moor received an early accreditation from CAMRA for cask conditioning and that also is worth some Big OA Hugs.

330ml can. Easy-drinking stout. Long-lasting, roasted coffee & dark fruits nose. Taste is bitter and smoky but more subdued than the aroma. Mouthfeel is light but refreshingly dry.

330ml Can from Beer52.com (£0.37):
Dark & smoky, the beer was slightly sweet at points too thanks to the raisin & various other dark fruits alongside the vanilla extract & raisin. The beer was smooth & full-bodied with an excellent balanced that helped it on the way down & made me feel like the beer would make an excellent session offering without being on that I'd go back to in a hurry.
