A - Poured out a straw yellow color with a good deal of carbonation. It had a small, white head that dissipated rapidly.

S - It smelled very sweet. Corn was really the only other noticable aroma.

T - Taste was quite similar to the smell - sweet and corn.

M - It was fairly crisp and very smooth. A very light-bodied beer.

D - This is very easy drinking. Nothing outstanding, though.

Poured into a shaker pint glass.

Look: The body is a hazy faded gold color. The head is white and fizzy -- doesn't leave much film, no lacing.

Aroma: Cooked corn, veggies.

Taste: Malts up front, with some vegetal balance.

Mouthfeel: Light, watery.

Overall: I'd rather have Old Milwaukee than this, and this is craft ...

Appearance: Pours out a crystal clear, yellow body with a particularly thin, sparsely bubbly, white head.

Smell: A spirit-crushing nose smelling only of grainy light pale malts, cracked corn kernels, and some sweetish cereal hints.

Taste: Faint pale malts jumbled up with some sourish corn tastes and a small blip of sweetness. Then, the flavor washes out into a watery void in record time leaving you aghast until you hit the quick, all-too-clean, water-soaked finish. Look ashamed, Mac... look ashamed.

Mouthfeel: Thin-bodied. Medium carbonation.

Drinkability: A pretty poor product, even right down to the dumpy-looking label. This is a remarkably watery beer. That's all there is to say, really. I once remarked how watery it was, that's just how remarkably watery it is.

Pours a very thin light gold with a decent finger-width head on top. This "head" disappears quicker than I can even get my nose close to smell it. Very bubbly and fizzy. No retention, no lacing. Smells of corn, sour mash, some slight lemon?

Very watery brew. I saved this for after I mowed the lawn for the first time this season, figuring it would be a thirst-quencher and not much else. It was just that. Very wet and easily consumed. Not much for flavor. Some sour corn adjuncts there. Some malt, and very little bitterness present. Decent for a lawn-mowing beer, and maybe the beach. But I most likely won't have this again.

a very light yellow , with a small white head that fades quickly. leaves a little lace that slides down during the drink , but dosn,t show much.

aroma was corn , grain , bread , stale fruit. some sweetness but the grain stands out. maybe a little caramel .

taste is expected according to the aroma : a mix between the bitter hops and the sweet malt , a little more bitterness as the drink gos on.

mouth feel was smooth , easy drinking . I think this is just another average beer. so-so.

Corn silk yellow topped by two fingers of eggshell colored foam. An almost imperceptable escape of CO2 on crown cracking makes me wonder about carbonation, but the head is acceptable in size and (less so in) persistence. Almost no lace hurts the cause.

A little research tells me that Mac's Beer is actually contract brewed by Flying Monkey for EME Squared Brewing (noted on the amateurish label), that it's an ale and that it uses a significant amount of corn. The nose is somewhat corn-like, though there's nothing offensive about it.

Mac's Beer (American Style Beer) is a classic example of why I like ales more than lagers in most cases. This stuff is more or less the ale equivalent of Miller High Life. In other words, it's more full-flavored (ale yeast esters) and is more full-bodied. Minimal hoppiness isn't really a negative.

Yeah, the beer is simple, corny and slightly sweet, but so what? Would you rather have tasteless, thin and fizzy? Not only that, but it's now an estimated 55 degrees and it's still drinkable. Try *that* with your average macro lager.

The body/mouthfeel actually has some substance to it that prevents the flavor (such as it is) from vanishing as soon as beer loses contact with taste buds. Of course, if you're of a mind that anything bigger than a macro lager is 'heavy' or 'thick', you won't care for it. A few more bubbles would have added some much needed excitement.

Mac's Beer can probably be had on the cheap down in Kansas. Good for Kansasans. As I've already mentioned, it's much better than what is consumed in most of this (craft beer ignorant) country. I'd work on a new label before I'd change anything about what's inside the bottle.

Thanks to bort11 for this one.

Pours a clean/clear very pale yellow almost white color, nice carbonation, tiny fizzy white head, no sticky lacing at all. The nose is malty, maybe some spice, and some caramel. The taste is malty, sweet, slightly spicy, and some caramel. Light body. Drinkable, not that bad, but would not buy if in my area, glad to have tried it though.

12 oz bottle

Clear, light golden-straw color with small bright white head, very little lacing.

Smells very grainy, sweet malts balanced by a slight roastiness; faintest of floral hop aroma.

Biscuity malt flavors with a slight sourness on the finish, no real hop flavors to mention, but there is some dryness.

Pretty easy to drink without being completely watery.

12 oz bottle with a minimalist white label. Reminds me of the "Beer" from Repo Man. Poured into a pilsner glass. Light, whipped cream like head that has good staying power. Very little lacing on the glass, it all falls back to the cap. Color is a clear straw yellow with very active carbonation.
Smell is light a bready. A little bit of floral hops. Taste is a clean malt flavor with more of a light lemony hops.
Mouthfeel is very light, but not watery. It could use a bit more zing in the carbonation on the tongue.
Over all, very refreshing and enjoyable.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a thin white head. Very slight lacing. Aroma is grainy with a slight hoppiness to it. Flavor is light with a light malt and hoppy flavor. Maybe a hint of citrus to the finish. A drinkable beer. A nice alternative to the macro lagers. Good for what it is.

Clear golden color with a fizzy but short lived white head with only traces of lace.

The aroma is bready with some citrus notes and a touch of herbal hops.

The taste is along the same lines, a decent bready malt, slightly sweet with a hint of lemon, and just a touch of hops bitterness at the finish.

Light bodied but not really watery. Very drinkable.
