A - Amber copper color with good clarity and an inch of fluffy foam

S - Very pleasing aroma. Hoppy citrus and earthy hops dominates.

T - Mild dry citrusy flavor. A bit thin on the malt for an APA. More like a session IPA. Very drinkable.

M - Light mouthfeel.

O - Overall a very good beer that could use a bit of backbone to nail the style, but very worthwhile in its own right, and I'm sure it's spot on with regards to the intent of the brewer.

like a homebrew by someone just learning. pours a hazy orange color with a nice white head and some nasty looking floasting yeast bits. this is a pale ale right? smells very very average, a malt based beer for sure, but nothing outstanding here. flavor is the same, rather boring, plenty of pale malt, slight bitterness. mouthfeel is fine, medium bodied and well carbonated. overall just a pretty amateur brew through and through, which surprised me because the brown ale they make is so good. skip this one

A-looks good nice color, no complaints here

S-decent smell very citrusy...

T-taste good not very balanced, too much bitter not enough maltiness, hop (citrus) flavour dominance

M- not enogh body for the hop

O-would order it again in a bar dependent upon the selection but would never buy it...I did have a del Norte before I drank this beer due to being at a mexican restaurant and anyone who knows anything about beer knows del Norte is a joke, so I could be giving this beer a better rating than deserved...dependent upon the selection at the bar (for me this vs breck avalanche) this beer is worth a shot

Had on tap on 3/11 in their brewery.

A - Hazy, yellowish-orange with a nice one finger head. Nice lacing throughout.

S - Lots of hops with this one. Lots of floral, citrus notes. Almost IPA-ish, but not quite. Some bready / biscuity malts there as well.

T & M - Nice & hoppy up front, with some citrus and floral character. Finishes spicy and almost peppery.

D - Could pound these all night.

This was my favorite beer they had on tap from the 5 or 6 I tried. Bartender said it was just put on tap 3 days ago, so it was pretty fresh.

Extra Pale Ale pours a clear copper, and is topped by a sudsy, beige head that fades to film, leaving good lace. The aroma is dominated by piney, and citric hops, but has a base of mild, toasty malts.

This is a pretty standard APA flavor-wise. Toasty malts upfront move through to a slightly sweeter, bready finish, where leafy and grassy hops provide a firm bitterness for balance. This beer was light-bodied, crisp, and had a nice, prickly carbonation to it.

I thought that this beer was very refreshing, and was a great after ski beer.

12 oz. bottle tried 9 Mar 2009.

Poured in Sierra Nevada pint glass. Large yellowish head. Lightly carbonated. Clear dark almond colored. Aroma is light resin and caramel. Begins with a fair amount of resiny bitterness and mmoderate malt. Becomes earthy through the middle. Finish is lightly citrus and bittersweet. Light body, dry mouthfeel.

This was a little better from the bottle than on tap.

I have had this beer on tap as well as from a bottle and there is a difference in favor of on tap. From the tap, the pour is a darker shade of yellow that is close to amber. A nice soft white head with good retention and limited lacing.

The nose has more of a hop balance. Some citrus and piney undertones blends well and gives it a almost herbal quality. The malt is noticeable with lighter bready and English malt feel. Some spicy qualities as well. A hint of white pepper and some feint bubblegum.

The taste is more balanced but limited. The malt comes out with more of a sweet caramel flavor with a more generic 2 row malt taste. The hops are toned down with more finishing hops and not much bittering hops. More citrus then piney and some grassy undertones as well. Some fruity flavors, figs and strawberries but light overall. The bottle is a bit harsher in my opinion.

The body was mid to light with a soft texture. This really varies from bottle. Overall it's kind of interesting see the difference between bottle and tap but an ok APA either way.

A - Pours a medium yellow-gold with a thin head and excellent carbonation.

S - Bitter orange flower, with hints of vanilla and cardamom.

T - Bitter-sweet citrus and light herbal tones. Just a hint of vanilla.

M - Crisp and lightly bubbly. Doesn't cloy the palate.

D - Nice and hoppy without being too bitter. A good hoppy beer for people who prefer malty brews.

Though I've visited the DAM Brewery more times than I can count in the last few years, this is the first time I've tried (and taken note of) their pale ale.

It's a copper beer with a nice creamy head and classic citrus aromas. The hop flavors are pronounced, particularly at the beginning of each sip and blend well into a bready, clean finish. It's relatively light bodied and nicley drinkable. All-around a sturdy and enjoyable APA.

The DAM puts out solid beers across the board, and a few exceptional ones on occasion. Their EPA is no different and makes for a fine brew at the end of a hard day of skiing.

A - Nice amber/burgandy color with a one finger head. Not much in the way of lacing.

S - Strong floral/grassy smells.

T - This is a pretty hoppy PA. The floral tastes come through with a subtle malt taste.

M - It is crisp and dry. Medium-bodied.

D - A fairly hoppy APA. I usually grab one with I'm in Colorado.
