Probably the highest in elevation I that I sat in a brewery taproom. When inside I went up stairs to go higher. Did a flight and beers were ok to very good. Considered ordering a calzone when the elevation made me feel a little... well fluffy. If in the area this is a good place to stop for craft. I will visit again next time I am in Dillon.

I really enjoy coming up here and eating and drinking. Most of their food goes great with the various beers, and they're starting to bottle some of their less frequent releases, so that's a big plus. I wish they'd stick with a few of the most popular ones and make them year-round, but maybe that's coming down the road. It's surely worth a stop when you're in town or passing by on I-70.

One of my favorite and easy access hangout when I'm in Summit County. I almost always stay in Dillon, which makes this close and easy to get to.

Food is above average bar food. Good chili, good burgers, good sandwiches. The beer selection is almost all their own but have a variety of styles to choose from. All if the beers are very good, but none great.

I love the atmosphere. It always has an après ski vibe with the spring break attitude removed. The interior is very clean, open, with a lodge feel. Staff and patrons couldn't be friendlier. Just great people with a positive vibe.

I highly suggest it if you're in the area.

Stopped by for a beer and some good while I was in Dillon. Service was fine, prompt, no complaints. Good was hit and miss, chicken wings were lackluster but the chicken-fried chicken was good. Decent selection if their beers, I think I counted 10 of them and pints were only $2.75 at happy hour. The IPA was just ok. Overall, I might go back if I'm in the area to sample the beers I didn't try but I don't know if if get good or not.

A nice brewery that hones in on the mountain feel. Wood beams, loft, good beer, and a patio

Once inside it doesn't look all that big, it's quite nice sized. Loft upstairs, secluded dining area, horseshoe bar and flat screen tvs.

While their beers weren't all that expensive, the swag is. $24 for a t-shirt and no thanks. Not a big deal, but c'mon. Service was a bit slow. They were busy, but it was an expected busy (on a Dillon event day--bluegrass and brews). Place became full, but not crowded.

For the beers, they were solid and will do the trick. I liked the marzen and brown....and really all of them, with above average ratings. Chili beer was fairly tame.

A must stop in Dillon for sure.

neat place not too far off of i70. the place is pretty big, with a huge bar and and sprawling dining room. maybe 8 beers on, and the three I had were all B to B+ quality. service was a little indifferent, but wasn't slow or mean or anything. lots of windows so it was bright and sunny and warm in there, very comfortable. menu was impressive for lunch, and everything coming out looked great. the French onion soup was a hit, and the salad dressings were also homemade and yummy. things were fresh and fast, and the prices were fair. a place I would definitely stop in at again. I wish they bottles some other of their beers though. I think they few that they do are not a good illustration of the quality level they are capable of. don't write them off after a bottle of the extra pale, go in and have a fresh on, its a class better.

Stop #6

As you head west on Interstate 70 you will eventually run into the ski areas such as Dillon, Frisco, etc.

Located in Dillon not far off of 70 is Dillon Dam Brewing. You can’t miss the extra large green grain silo that marks the brewpub. Let’s face it this is a ski town, though it doesn’t do much for me, the aesthetic is nice. Walking into the brewpub the bar is located directly in front of the door, with seating around the bar. We opted for the patio. We didn’t try a sampler but did have a pint of the ESB and the Pils. We enjoyed both beers as we thought they were on style. By this time we were hungry and split a chopped Greek Salad and a Bison burger-both of which were very good. Service was good.

If you do visit this brewery take the very short self-guided tour of the brewery. Walk up the stairs near the entrance and follow the signage. It is a nice change of pace to get a eagle eye view of a brewery.

Came here for the first time while staying in the area. Hadn't heard much about it so I figured it was somewhat of a shot in the dark. Very cool building from the outside, with the grain silo (unsure whether it's active or not) a clear indicator that it's a brewery. The inside is laid out such that you can very easily pull up to the bar for a pint or grab a table and enjoy some food. Great atmosphere - very fast-paced and fun, definitely a family-friendly place. I was pleasantly surprised at how un-touristy it was. Pretty decent beer - the Pale Ale is to die for. George runs a great place and has great people working for him. All of the servers I interacted with were very knowledgeable. Will definitely be coming back here!
