Natives insisted I try the Vergina beer. Half the sixer had this beer also, which is a relief. This is a much better beverage. Poured a hazy amber with a decent, 1 1/2 finger head. The head left small rings of beads and lace on the glass. Smelled a little sweet and wine like. The bittering smell comes more from spice than it does from any hop. Tasted vinegary and sweet. Hey, maybe old wine was used in this? It seems possible. Slightly sour aftertaste. However, the texture is pretty good. Thick and creamy. That alone brings the drinkability up a full point. If your ever in Northern Africa, and the natives insist you try Vergina, get the mixed sixer so you can also have this beer.
