A 68 ibu west coast ipa that is crisp and fresh. Described as like a sweet little Nordic trail off the main trail of Meissner - it takes the high road. Pilsner base malt with Amarillo, Centennial, Northern Brewer and experimental hop x make this piney citrus wonder what it is. Perhaps the best of all the Deschutes ipa's, this thing was clean and snappy, went down smooth and hinted at huge hop favors. Grab a growler.

Served to me in a plastic cup out of a keg from Woody at the Portland Blues Festival 2014.
Man, this thing is all pine. Imagine an IPA you've had that is more pine than citrus flavored, and magnify that by 10.
Appearance is good - frankly, it didn't appear much different from other Deschutes IPA's I've had. Smell - I ranked this an 'okay' here on BA only because the vessel I was drinking it from wouldn't necessary have given me access to the beer's aroma.
Taste - see above; if you like your IPA's with some citrus, don't bother with this beer. The amount of pine flavor this thing packs is impressive, and while it is pretty bitter, it's also quite refreshing and drinkable.
If given the choice of numerous Deschutes IPAs, I don't know if I would purchase this again, mostly because I enjoy a balance between citrus and pine in my IPAs; however, this is a good beer that I implore others to check out.
