Kind of a small brewpub. Not a ton of tables (one bigger area to the left of the door and a smaller to the right) so there was some wait when we went for a table. General brewpub feel with their memorabilia and other art on the walls.

Deschutes isn't one of my "go to" six packs but at the pub everything was really exceptional. In addition to their usual line-up that you can get in bottles there were several pub-only offerings. Champizzle - a pilsner-style finished with champagne yeast was interesting. The Double Black (an imperial version of Black Butte Porter) was phenomenal. I wasn't in a position to take notes or review but the Double Black probably would have been 90+.

Service was a bit of a problem. When at a table, the wait between drink order, food order and food arrival was enormous. Then I had to send something back because it was completely cold. But the next day at the bar, the bartender was on it. Chatting with regulars, answering questions and keeping up on nearly empty pints. Food came super fast at the bar too.

They had about 12 taps which is way more than I expected given their bottle releases.

The food was standard brewpub with few surprises. My Salad at the bar was good and so was the burger when it finally got to my table. Not remarkable, but solid.

Right in the heart of down town bend. We sat upstairs and overlooked the street as we ate great food and drank OUTSTANDING beers. Server was very nice and the atmosphere was great. I look forward to going here every time we go to Bend.

Great service here for the most part, and if you're into beer you should know to expect some really nice stuff here. There were some problems in the kitchen. Our server brought us the appetizer we ordered, and then less than two minutes later brought us our entrees! To top it off, my mashed potatoes were cold. Seems like quite a rookie mistake that I'm surprised no one in the kitchen caught.

I stopped by the Deschutes brewpub while I was on a recent pilgrimage to Bend and had three beers and a late lunch. I can't wait to return!

Service was great and, as might be supposed, the staff knew a lot about the beer being served and were able to make recommendations. There were a number of seasonal and brewpub-only beers available, a fact of which I look forward to taking advantage the next time I visit. I can't speak much to the atmosphere inside, as I drank and dined al fresco and did some people-watching in old-town Bend. Folks are friendly there, I'll give them that!

The reuben I had was so huge that I was unable to finish it, despite a long, lunchless drive from Seattle. Beware! You will have leftovers.

Food is always very good. Personal favorites include the pretzel appetizer and the mac and cheese entree.

Beer is excellent. The large beer menu offers Deschutes regular and seasonal favorites, but I always order a flight of the brewpub exclusives. These consist of beers only available at this location, and there are always some very good beers in the flight. Brewpub exclusive bottles can be purchased, as well.

Service is very good.

I visit this spot every time I'm in Bend, and I will continue to do so. Would recommend.
