look: 2.5 | smell: 2 | taste: 2 | feel: 2.5 | overall: 2.5

Presentation: Slender 22 oz brown bottle with no freshness date.

Appearance: Thin ring of white lace, pale yellowish straw colour. Not much head at all quite sad looking.

Smell: Faint solvent alcohol in the grainy and cooked veggie aroma (DMS).

Taste: Odd slickness on the tongue, adequate carbonation with a light body. Cooked veggie, husky grain and faint solvent flavours show inferior characteristic to the lager style. Strain sweetness toils its way to the taste buds. Thin malt and quite bland. The best thing about this beer is the sharp, clean and semi-spicy bitterness. Weird funky grainy finish is not appealing at all.

Notes: I don’t suggest this beer at all, there are many other sub-premium imported lagers that are not only cheaper in price but cleaner and more flavourful.

Poured into a shaker pint glass.

Look: Clear golden body with a white head that disappears immediately. No retention or lacing.

Aroma: Sour corn adjuncts or vegetables, faint sourness.

Taste: Harsh on the palate immediately. Slightly alcoholic opening despite the low ABV, followed by a metallic middle. Adjuncts come into play bringing notes of cabbage or other sour veggies. A tangy, sour finish.

Mouthfeel: Carbonated and thin.

Overall: I rate according to style, and I was not impressed with this one.

22oz bottle, got it for $3 on a whim. bottled in april so it's ~8mo old.

smell is corny grain, some sugar cookie dough. sweet and skunky. poured a little out to check the appearance, it's piss yellow with a bubbly froth that fades to a rim before your eyes.

starts light, clean, bitter, but sweet; ends with a slight metallic tinge and some other off flavors. amazingly, considering the style, there's noticeable hop flavor.

Good, but pricy for what it is.
