I had this on tap at Thirsty Bear in San Francisco, CA. It was a deep golden-tan color and unfiltered, without much of a head but some lacing. It didn't have too much of an aroma, but that taste had both bitter hops and sweet fruity tones to it. It wasn't very complex, but quite refreshing.

Pours a somehwat cloudy pale yellow body. Some clove and banana in the nose. Good lacing and head retention. Smooth mouthfeel, light and fluffy. Mellow flavours - fruity, some spice and banana. Great on a hot summer day with their chicken. Again, one of their variety of different beers/styles. Pretty impressive for a small brewpub.

Despite the cold rainy weather, I was really looking forward to this beer.
This Wit was a hazy darkish yellow no head and a nice bit of lacing.
The smell is slightly spicy with a bit of citrus in the background. Smells fresh and enticing.
The beer is slightly tart and a bit astringent. The spices (clove and black pepper) are a nice counterpoint to the orange/lemon taste. I picked up a smidgen of something like perfume in the aftertaste.
Crisp and solid mouth adds to an easy drinker. I liked it!

Part of the sampler platter. Reviewed 7/15/10.
P: Murky, dull gold. No head by the time i got to it in the sampler.
A: Yeast, orange peel and coriander.
T: Yeast, cloves, coriander and oranges.
Pretty much brewed to style. Enjoyable, but nothing that I haven't experienced before.

Murky yellowish pour, with almost no smell or taset, really... Decent in that it doesn't have too strong of a spiced taste which I don't like anyway, but it was very bland overall. Some light orange like aroma after it warms a bit, but that didn't save this from mediocrity.

Medium gold color, cloudy, nose is slightly orange and coriander. Light bodied wheat ale, slight taste of coriander and orange as well as banana and clove. Fuller tasting than most wheat beer. Complex flavor. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

On draft at the Eat Real Festival in Oakland.
A: Pours a cloudy yellow like unfiltered lemonade. Has an inch of creamy, off-white head that recedes over a minute into a donut around the brew. No lacing.
S: Spice, citrus, banana. And lots and lots of yeast. Whew.
T: Incredibly yeasty up front as well. Nice composition of banana, clove, and citrus (lemon) to be found in there as well, but it's like a yeast main event with those as the sideshow. Finish is nearly crisp, with some lingering banana and yeast in the aftertaste.
M: Not as crisp as I'd like. Light-bodied and fairly refreshing in the hot sun.
D: Pretty unremarkable. I can think of several others I enjoy more.

I sampled this beer on tap at Thirsty Bear in San Francisco. It pours a very rich tan color. One concern is the visible lack of head, but you do notice some lacing. I didn't get much of an aroma from this beer, which is disappointing given that one usually experiences complex aromas from a witbier. What the beer lacks in aroma it makes up quite well in taste. The fruity flavors come across quite well. The flavors were far from complex, but overall it was a good beer.

On tap at the brewery.
Pours a very pale and rather unpleasant yellow colour with no head. Looks extremely weak, not very appetising, and very insipid overall.
Almost no aroma on the nose. Perhaps just a little sweetness, but not even the generic and unpleasant characters you get on a bad wheat beer. At least it's not offensive, but seriously, it's nothing...
Taste is similar. Certainly no witbier spice characters. Reminds me more of a kristalweizen and a poor one at that. Clean enough in its way, but so is water. This is just pretty flavourless.
Yeah, it's sluggable, but it's not very interesting by any stretch of the imagination. Probably their worst drop on tap.

Served on-tap in a tapered clear weizen-type glass at Thristy Bear Brewing Company.
A: Dishwater gold with thin off-white head with minimal retention and no lacing.
S: Great combination of coriander, wheat tanginess, clove, and orange
T: Solid but not out-of-this world with nice wheat tanginess, coriander, and orange citrus character. Good wheaty esters.
M: Thick wheaty but relatively light-bodied feel with pretty crisp finish.
O: Not bad at all and definitely worth trying if you like witbiers. It's a good indication that they have upped their ante at Thirsty Bear since we were here 3 years ago.

Sort of Yellow, but a darker yellow, like the color of a banana peel, and not translucent at all. Solid rich yellow color. No head. Some lacing though, and a healthy amount of carbonation.
Smelled like flowers to me. Of course I'm new to tasting/reviewing beer, so I'm really not able to isolate the different spices or tastes very good.
I could taste some banana, It had sort of a bitter aftertaste for a wheat beer. And to me, it was sort of thick/oatmealy tasting for a wheat beer, not sure what that was from.
It was definitely drinkable, and I would drink it again. Probably not soon though, but only because the next time I eat there, I want to try some of their other "organic" brewed beers.
Overall pretty decent. Not amazing.

Classic wheat cloudiness and a light bright orange color.
Lots of coriander and some orange in the nose. Whew. lots of coriander.
There's the coriander again. The wheat malt is definitely there along with th sour finish. Pretty average wheat.
It's a bit thin for a wheat beer but it's pretty drinkable.
