Poured from a 500 ml bottle into a Celebrator pokal. Pours a light to medium golden amber with a half finger white head that dissipates to patches and ring around the glass, leaving light lacing. Classic hefeweizen aroma of wheat, clove light banana, slightly bready. Flavor is cracked wheat, clove, light breadiness, a touch of lemon citrus and a touch of toffee, finishing with dry wheat and light clove bitterness. Medium bodied with good carbonation. A perfectly balanced and flavored wheat beer that hits all the right notes for a hefeweizen. One of the best hefe I've had. Excellent.

Andechser Weissbier Hell
16.9 oz. brown bottle, date code L3013
$4.99 @ Wegmans, King of Prussia, PA
Appearance: Usual cloudy gold body with a bit of an orange cast to it. Very long-lasting head bolstered by an effervescent carbonation.
Smell: Clove and gently plastic-like phenols over sweet wheat malt.
Taste: Lots of lemon tang at first, followed by clove, banana, and spicy phenolics. Richly flavored. As you progress the lemon fades as the malt builds on your palate and a note of vanilla comes through. Some chalky yeast appears in the finish; which is spicier than many, and drier than some others.
Mouthfeel: Light-medium leaning more towards medium in body; bristling effervescent carbonation.
Overall: Unique, but also a classic example of the style. Absolutely worth trying!

A: Pours a hazy straw color with a white head.
S: Banana, wheat and clove in the nose. Pretty typical of a wheat beer.
T: Banana, clove, bready wheaty malts, wheat, some light fruit. Sounds typical, but it's delicious!
M: Light bodied and smoothish.
O: This is, thus far, my favorite german-style hefeweizen, and I am currently exactly 900 beers into my journey. Definitely recommended to all who like beer.

0,5 l bottle into a weizen glass. Hazy golden body with a white foamy head, ok retention and lacing. Fresh citrus and yeasty banana on the nose. The taste starts with semi-sweet malt and mildly tart wheat, ending with yeasty melon and a hint of banana. Medium-light body, medium carbonation, smooth mouthfeel. Overall a good hefeweizen, drinkable, refreshing and flavorful.
