This is in maybe the most upscale and pretentious shopping center I've ever seen. Which is amazing, considering what a complete piece of shit stripmall was there before they razed it and started over. It's right in my backyard, which is nice, but I don't think I'd ever go out of my way to go there if it weren't. The beer is decent, sort of par-for-the-course brewpub fare. There's usually a solid seasonal or two. The service is very nice always extremely helpful. The food is usually pretty good but it's so incredibly expensive. You can't even touch an app for under $8 or so. The interior is impressive, steel, oak and glass. If I ever open a brewpub I'm hiring Iron Hill's architecture firm, all their locations look great. It's maybe a bit loud though, with the ceilings so high. The crowd is the yuppie exec type that plagues this becursed area. Well there's two crowds, one that goes there because it's an upscale restaurant, and the other that goes there for the beer. Sort of odd. And like all Iron Hills, they're pains in the ass about growler fills...only their own growler. They'll spot you one for free if you bring in another growler and play dumb, however. Free growler = good. They seem to be out of stock a lot though.
There's nothing nearby, other than the Drafting Room Springhouse, but if you're close it's worth dropping in for a pint.

This was my first visit to an Iron Hill. It was close to the hotel I was crashing at, so it seemed like I might as well.
Nice interior. If you've seen one, you've seen them all really. I have passed by many at this point and seen what they looked like, though never went in. There is definitely a formula and system to everything, which is fine. I am glad they've kept a bit of an air of refinement to things. Selection was okay.
I honestly could have dealt with more choices on-tap. Bottles were in the house. I picked up an RIS to take with me.
Food was good enough. About what I'd expect to match the decor.
Service was fine. It was the end of the night, so I think the bartender was wrapping up and ready to get the hell out of there. He didn't seem to care too much about what was going on.
A pleasant enough experience.

Been to this place several times before and wasn't much impressed with the beer quality. Its been maybe two years since my last visit and the beer as far as selection and quality are much better.
Took the wife and fam after church there for dinner and while the wife and kids scoped out the stores I stayed back and seeked out a booth in the bar area. Ten minutes later score, see it pays to be a beer drinker.
Sevice from the staff was good, but it wasn,t too crowded either.
Food was good kids got the standard. Thier meals came with maybe 10 french fries, seriously 10.
Had three beers thier house porter, pils, and a seasonal rojo grande( imp. red) all were very good inquality and taste hovering in the 4pt area.
I think in the future we'll be going back.

I am a huge fan of the Iron Hill chain but this is my least favorite outpost, though the beer was much improved on my last visit here on 3/18/11.
Layout is quite similar to the Media location, with a large u-shaped bar in the middle and dining areas behind and to the side. The beer definitely took a step backward during the transition to the latest head brewer. Not enough seasonals, and mostly underwhelming. My last visit featured Ramrod, the best beer I have had there in the last couple of years. So I am hopeful this is a sign of good things to come.
I find the bartenders here to be generally douchey and slow moving. On my most recent visit, more than half of the bar patrons had either empty uncleared plates, empty unfilled beer glasses or both, while the staff did not appear to be breaking a sweat.
Food is very good, as at all IH branches, but a bit pricey for a brewpub. I love the chain and I am glad there are four other locations that are closer to my house.
