Very nice store located right along Central Expressway at the Spring Creek Exit. The owner, Chuck, does a great job to get the new releases as soon as they come out. If it is available in Dallas, he more than likely has it in stock or will get it for you. S&K is usually one of the first stores to get new releases and the owner will send out text messages to his customers in order to let people know about the releases. The prices are about normal for the area and there is a nice selection of singles although less than at the nearby Mr. G's. I am not sure if you can break six packs, but I don't think you can. There is also a nice collection of sakes and wines if that interests you.

Moderate selection. All in coolers. They regularly stock many domestic crafts and typical imports. A better selection of English imports than many stores. A few visits I've found oddball beers brewed 2-4 years ago.
I find new beers here every few times I stop in (every few months or so). The past time I went (2 weeks ago) I made off with a $60 boxfull of beers I had never seen before and have since (4 beer stores and two grocery stores later) only seen half of elsewhere.
Very nice and helpful staff. They offer suggestions of what I may like that they've recently gotten it and give honest opinions about what they like/dislike and why.
I stop in whenever I'm in the area.

S&K Beverages is a partnership owned & operated beer & wine package store with easy access to US75 (N. Central Expy), although construction is always a PITA. I've shopped here on more than one occasion for road beers. Be careful not to prejudicate the outward strip mall appearance because once inside a beer lover will realize their stop won't be in vain. The place is kind of an organized mess with hodgepodge stacks here and there which makes it a bit hard to navigate, but if you're looking for something in particular don't be afraid to ask for the owner, Chuck. He's very helpful and surprisingly knowledgeable about beer and doesn't mind answering questions or ordering beer or kegs. They stock a solid selection of both domestic & imported beers with over twenty cooler doors devoted to beer, albeit a third is reserved for megaswill. Once in awhile you'll find the occasional rarity. Sadly, I must report finding beers that are "long-in-the-tooth", so keep a check on those freshness dates. In addition, they carry munchies, glassware, and even have a cigar humidor for those who like a smoky treat. A beer traveler should certainly stop by and stock up on the way out of town.

Overall this isn't a bad place. Decent selection, and the convenience of the location are the main reasons this has been my regular pre-weekend stop.
My only complaint is they sometimes tend to have beers that are passed their
"consume by" date. I'd say 80% of the time this only applies to the specials, but
occasionally you'll get a regular beer selling for the regular price that they've obviously gotten a deal on some back-stock. No complaints about being a tad expensive....I figure that's the convenience factor.

What can I say? Its a few miles from my house. Sure some of the beer is priced a bit high, but being so close makes up for it. They stock a nice variety of promo beer glasses, have a wider selection of Dogfish Head, Rogue, Unibroue, or Great Divide then Ive seen in a good while, and a bunch of other goodies you'd be lucky to find at CM or Mr. G's (like a fantastic sake selection). The people who work there are very nice, and often let me know when new stuff is comming in. I have never had a problem giving these people my money.

I like this little place. Enter caveat, it's closer to my residence than any of the other "real" beer stores in the area. It's cramped, yes, but the selection is pretty good, and in some ways better than CM(IMO). They always seem to pick up on new products quickly. The help is friendly and somewhat knowledgeable too. I would say that the selection of american micros is lacking compared to Mr. G's, but prices are slightly better on what they do carry. Selection of German and Belgian beers is pretty consistently good and they almost always have Spaten products on sale. I like it.

This place is cramped and cluttered. Not to mention dirty. They have a good selection, but it's not very well organized. Some of it is over here, some of it is over there. They would not allow me to break 6-packs, and the middle-eastern clerks did not know much about the things for which I asked. They were very nice, though, and even gave my kids each a free lollipop. The prices were _excellent_ for some of the 750ml bottles of chimay, duvel, la fin du monde, etc, but very steep for some of the 4 and 6-packs of craft ales. A good place, but somewhat mixed review. I'd just as soon go to Angel's or Mr. G's over S & K.

Everything was good about this place. Nothing was great, but a very solid place overall. In my rough estimate, there were probably 300 different beers in this establishment (if you include macros), and lots of wine as well. Some of the beers were a bit pricey, but not quite as high as Mr. G's from what I noticed. Although the help didn't ask to help alot (which to me is a good thing), they were very friendly. Overall, this is a quality stop and probably compares easily to Central Market on selection, but not quite on price. Cheers!

Even though I've lived just down the street from this place for a while now, I always just assumed it was some average beer and wine store, so I never bothered to go in, and would just make the little longer drive to Mr. G's.
A couple months ago, though, I walked in for whatever reason, and was shocked to see that they actually have a really decent selection. They even have an entire section just for singles - if you're in to that.
Prices seem to be about average when compared to the other 2 places to get good beer around here (Mr. G's & Central Market).
Service has always been good there, and in fact they seem to notice when you buy good beer. While everyone else in the store was walking out with Natty Light or BMC (and their light) variants), when we walked up to the counter with as much good beer as we could carry, the guy made a comment about *this* being serious beer :-)
If you can get to Mr. G's or Central Market, I would say go there, but S&K definately works in a pinch...
