Appearance – Bright yellow in color with some good carbonation but a James Brown head.

Smell – Light, grainy aroma that was thankfully skunkless. I couldn’t pick up the nasty aroma of cheap sugar, either, which was a plus.

Taste – This wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. The grain came across rather nicely, and the presence of what seemed like actual hops helped this one along.

Mouthfeel – The smallish hops at the taste was enough to make this one a little refreshing and even dry. The light carbonation was tight and satisfying.

Drinkability – This is right around the top of my SA beers. It went down easy, was refreshing in the middle of an 80+ degree Florida day, and didn’t have any funky smells or flavors.

Was recently in the Dominican Republic on vacation...our resort had this beer on tap. ONLY this beer on tap. ONLY this beer in bottles. Needless to say for one week I became a lover of vodka. This was not a good beer. Tasted watered down, was always served slightly chilled and a flavor relative to any US mass produced beer. I can't say enough good things about the people and their island except that if this is their national beer a revolution might not be a bad thing!

Presidente Cerveza Pilsener beer. Brewed in the Dominican Republic 6% alcohol?+

A- Pours a darker than average American Adjunct Lager yellow hue, that produces a quarter inch of pillowy white head that lingers around for the whole beer.

S- Sweet malted grains and corn come to mind with minimal skunky hops.

T-M- Taste is different than others of its kind in the aspect of the sweet grainy flavors melded into the Mexican type brew i know. Light hop come in barely but has a smooth finish with nothing special in the back end.

D- Very drinkable but a premiem price i'll have to pass.

22 onz green bottle with no date on the back "not even label"

The appearance is straw color with a white head.

The Smell grains and malt ,some sweetness.

The taste corn and veggies ,very strong there(but also not that bad).

Mouth feels dry after while having this beer, not the most refreshing one, worth a try but not to drink it often

This is basically a Budweiser clone. Maybe +5-10% maltier. One of two basic beers from the Dominican Republic that you can readily find at the "Majestic Resorts" in Punta Cana. The other beer, Brahma is brewed in Brazil.

Glad I brought my own beer.

Presentation: 12 oz green long neck bottle with no freshness date or info about the beer.

Appearance: Crystal clear pale yellowish straw colour, thin lace that has trouble staying right after the foam subsides.

Smell: Mild cooked veggies and corn grit aroma with an oddly mild herbal hop also.

Taste: Big crispness with a light body, medium to high carbonation. Thin malt flavour, somewhat coarse grassy grain flavour. Hops are minimal in bitterness and virtually nothing in flavour. Cereal grain bite with a clean alcohol that warms in the back. A touch astringent going almost bone dry in the finish.

Notes: Bland yet bothersome, not a very well put together brew. If it was a bit cleaner and had a touch more malt flavour it would not be half bad. I don’t recommend this beer.

Green bottle pours a crystal clear pale yellow body with a medium white head that leaves some spotty lace. Aroma has a hint of adjunct grain and vague hops. At least it's not skunky. Light body is actively carbonated. Tastes like your average American mass produced lager. Slightly sweet grainy malt with a touch of corn or rice, vague hop bitterness to balance. High carbonation is the dominant sensation. Inoffensive, but why bother...

was headed to the Blind Tiger for Saison, ended up in the Bronx with the wife in a crap beer joint, Beer heavan to beer hell...oh well...., I could have worse problems...this stuff, was yellow clear and fizzy. no nose, min. head and min lacing. Adjuncts, water and very minor notes/hints of the existence of hops. Lawn mower brew, Domenican macro swill. Saison dreams tonight for me

It was the only beer we had to drink in the d.r. Last year. It remained mediocre under all circumstances. Even in the Caribbean sun.

Quaffed quite a few of these, mostly on tap, at our all-inclusive resort in Puerto Plata.

A: Golden, pale straw in color, with lots of bubbles and thin head retention.

S: Crisp hints of corn and adjuncts. Light malt.

T: Cool and refreshing. Sort of bland, really. Coldness of it on a hot beach made you forget about the blandness. No real hop presence, but a tinge of light maltiness. Champagne-like bubbles throughout.

M: None, really. Light, effervescence quickly dissipates across the tongue.

D: Smooth and easy going down. Great on a hot day. Probably just a tad better than BMCs. I've got great vacation memories associated with this beer, therefore, I'm afraid to try it out of the bottle stateside.

have had these on several different occassions in different locales. each time i walk away thinking "that's actually much better than i expected".

can't say i found a better option in either Puerto Rico or Curacao during my time there. this isn't going to rock your face off but it's also not going to make you cringe when you drink it.

very smooth, crisp, a quality sweetness to it that far surpasses it's union american equivalent.

i'd drink these regularly if available where i live.

my beer of choice when vacationing in the caribbean without a doubt.

Appears a light golden tone with a vibrant white head that leaves a nice evenly laced ring of foam. The aroma is a mild hop aroma with sweet lemongrass tones along with the corn and rice adjuncts to make this beer at a cheaper price. Well, I did pick up a sixer at around 2.50 at Chicken Charlie's in Little Washington, PA so it was a deal no matter what the beer is like. Sweet refreshingly crisp perfect for a Caribbean island. This beer was a staple during my trip to Key West, FL where it was a common ground to find in any local grrocery store. Corona doesn't even stand up to this beer so if you see it at a reasonable price pick it up. Light body with high carbonation that tickles the tongue. On a a hot day this would be perfect for chilling in the sun.

I've had the pleasure of working on South Beach for the past week and Presidente is everywhere. Most places only charge $3 for it too, a rare find in Miami. The beer is presented in a green bottle with a simply designed label, nothing flashy. It pours a golden crisp yellow, the color of almost ripe wheat. There is no head except a light cock tease of foam that fades as fast as its poured.

The smell like the head is almost nonexistent. There is some light malts and nothing else but I've got to thank the beer gods because at least its not skunked.

Taste is mild and malty with a nice lemony finish. Surprisingly better then I expected given the cheapness of the beer and the green bottles. A sharp carbonation adds some nice bite to the beer and makes it feel good in the mouth.

A good sub par beer that tastes better when your on vacation. I can drink this with some good Cuban food and it doesn't seem so bad. In fact it goes great with the half roasted chicken, black beans and rice I just ordered from Puerto Sagua here on south beach.
