Rebecca's Revenge is a German schwartbier. A very drinkable lager with notes of dark malt to lend a roastiness that is not overpowering. Try it with an open mind, and step into the dark.

appearance: a dark beer with average head retention.
aroma: low malt aroma, clean with hints of roast.
taste: rich and clean malt flavor, with a roasty, but not too sweet character. medium-low bitterness which lasts throughout the smooth finish. Balanced hop flavor. Subtle roastiness apparent throughout.
mouthfeel: smooth throughout with roastiness, but no harshness from dark malts perceived. moderate (right on) carbonation.
drinkability: a highly drinkable beer. a very refreshing style.
conclusion: I've never had a schwarzbier that I didn't like. However, this was clearly one of the best I've ever had. Out of the many good beers available at Four Sons I took a growler of this one home and was not disappointed. Kudos to the brewers!

Appearance: Dark brown thin tan head leaves some lacing. Aroma: Nice darker roasts with a nice chocolate finish nice overall sweetness, yet clean and balanced with a touch of hops. Taste: Smooth crisp with dark roasts added to insure a mild coffee tone and dark chocolate flavor nice touch of German hops in the finish not a bad Schwarzbier at all. Mouthfeel: Light to medium bodied very smooth carbonation. Drinkability: Nice Schwarz dark roasts make this beer extremely quaffable.

Opaque black with off white head that dissipated rather quickly but clung to the sides. Aroma of toasted burnt malt was not overpowering. This is a light bodied beer that starts sort of thin with burnt and toasted malts but nothing that grabs you. In comparison to a stout, it has a much thinner taste and body but a schwartzbier should not taste like a stout. This is very drinkable and very similar to Redhook Blackhook
