Honey colored body with a thick, foamy white head. Bold pine and citrus hop aromas and a nice touch of floral notes in the background. Juicy, malty flavors; orange and lemon drops; mild malt notes lurk in the rear; a wonderful buildup of hop bitterness raises slowly through taste and provides a nice, low-key hop bitterness at the finish. Medium bodied; semi-dry finish.
This beer is a hop head's delight. The aroma and flavors just pop with juicy citrus fruit goodness. The malts definitely take a back seat to things yet do there part to add balance and body to the end product. The hop varieties used to create this beauty truly shine and create a very memorable ale experience.

bold but balanced, fresh to me, and malt supported without being copper or amber or sugary at all, sturdy and kind of old school still, but well made and nice and bitter, ipa like this seems to be a dying breed unfortunately. some color to this, but it stops in the brass range, no deeper than that, not totally packed with rich crystal, its earthy and bready and on the dry side, but has a nice fresh nose and quite a bit of flavor that pairs up beautifully with these hops. the hops hit me in the nose and mouth as classically northwestern, milled white pine boards, green pinecones, and bitter grapefruit pith and zest, fresh and appealing, oily and a little weedy, not green or vegetal though, and it seems to finish pretty fast for not being all that dry. very little from the fermentation too, perhaps slightly english on the yeast side, but mostly clean. the bitterness is middle of the road, maybe just north of that, and it starts a little earlier than is common these days, but its kind of the signature of this, and i like it. medium body but the hops coat the palate and stay awhile, parading in their bitterness. pine and orange peel to finish, a biscuit and honey note from the persistent malt, and good carbonation. this is solid, maybe not quite as good as its ratings, but real enjoyable.

7/25/20...pours copper amber color, with wisps of white foam. Malty pine nose. Slightly biscuity. Chewy malt with a pine based bitter. Toffee flavored below the malt. Slight bitter continues.

L:. Pours a slightly cloudy golden orange with a small white head and no lacing on the glass.
S:. Weedy and earthy hops a bit of pine, not a lot of tropical fruit, some sweet malt. The aroma isn't doing too much for me.
T:. Sweet caramel malt, weedy and earthy hops, honestly not very hoppy for an IPA.
F:. Slightly prickly carb, medium body.
O:. This IPA just doesn't do it for me

A very good IPA. Hazy in appearance , Malt forward, sweet with a hop presence but mild bitterness. Very well done. And the can has a lot of information on the brewery, the beer, the namesake and the packaging.

Based on a review from 2013. Had from a can.
A: pours good body with white head with decent retention and lacing
S: sweet, floral and subtle earthy hop notes; hints of citrus as well
T: pretty well balanced beer between the earthy/citrus hops and a fairly sweet, toffee malt; hoppy aftertaste typical of an IPA
M: medium bodied and pretty smooth; decent
D: nice mouthfeel and taste combo; solid beer overall

Copper with a hint of haze, no carbonation and two fingers of head.
Smells like water with a hint of esters.
Tastes like an English ipa, but way less virile. Like it was neutered from its uk origin.
Medium body with little carbonation.
I got this in Libby Montana and am drinking it in Radium, BC, Canada. A little disappointed.

On tap at Rising Sun Pizza Co. in St. Mary. Amber color, a little strident with the bitter/malt combo for me.
