Had this at the Warner Marriot while visiting CA. The sad part about it is that the taps were mostly broken so they only teazed you with Chimay, Sierra, Sam, etc. so I gave this beer a try.

Yellowish heavily carbonated pour. A bit of hops and grass on the nose but a bit too light to stand out. Grainy with something resembling flax on the tongue, not quite hoppy. I'd say it was chewy but it was more like slimy residue. When nothing else was available, it was at least a new brew.

Poured from 330ml bottle into pint glass.

Appearance: pours a sudsy thick white head which gradually recedes leaving decent lacing. Color is a clear light gold with abundant streaming carbonation.

Aroma: initially a bit of skunk (green bottle), once this dissipated remaining aroma is a combination of pungent grassy hops and sweet bread dough.

Mouthfeel: light and frothy with a drying finish.

Flavor: nice combination of lightly toasted barley, a hint of caramel and toffee, strong grass hop presence as well as some bitter hops in the finish.

Overall: excellent and well done pale lager. Would like to try it from a can or on tap to see if the initial skunk is not present.
