The aroma has very strong Münchner with some Pils malt, some oranges, a little Noble hop bitter smell, and just a hint of smoke. Quite complex, eh?
The flavor is equally complex. In the front I get a wee bit of bitterness, and some light citrus. In the middle, I get a tiny bit of smoke, not much, but just enough to wonder what the flavor is. Maybe it's not Rauchmalz, but the beer is too light to have roasted or black malt flavors. In the middle I get some bore bitterness, not too strong, but it's the prominent flavor there. In the end I get a little more lemon and some more grass-bitterness. The aftertaste has some Münchner malt's caramel sweetness, but not a lot.
Overall, this is an unusual beer. It's like it's ⅓ caramel sweetness, especially in the back, lots of bitterness through all parts of the tongue, and some citrus for the hops. It tastes like they used some interesting hops as well as the normal Noble hops.

Pale golden color, with white, foamy head. Sediment floating a bit.
Aroma is a bit musty, but otherwise sweet.
Taste is grainy and light, with citrus flavor in the middle. Hops spice blends well with the sweet malt.
Finishes dry and clean.
Just a good refreshing bier.

Best before 8-3-05 so just in time. Opens with a big bang. Poors in with great and huge snowwhite head. Beercolor is golden but beer has lots of (protein)particles floating around. Nose is malty and estery so that I wouldn't say its almost overtime. Taste is full and maltaromatic. Litle oxidated but still in good shape and nice, clean and dry aftertaste. About drinkability? Gimme another one please!

Appearance: Pours a hazy pale golden color with a prodigious head that holds up nicely and leaves dancing patterns of lace around the glass
Smell: Bready, slightly grainy aroma
Taste: Opens with a clean bready flavor that starts out clean but, mid-palate an odd plastic flavor creeps in; after the swallow, the clean flavors wipe out the phenols but at the very end, they manage to return; almost imperceptable, but definitely a detraction
Mouthfeel: Light bodied with moderate carbonation
Drinkability: Overall, a pretty good example of the style with the exception of the phenols
Thanks, UncleJimbo, for the opportunity to try this rare beer
