Pours a clear yellow with fine, soft head.
Smell is clean, crisp and bready with an herbal hint. Notes of citrus, rye, Saltines and knäckebröd.
Taste is clean, crisp and bready with a lovely creaminess. Notes of citrus, knäckebröd, rye and some herbal, floral hints. Solid bitterness and superbly drinkable.
Mouthfeel is medium, creamy and well carbonated.
Overall, a terrific pilsner, would love to try this really fresh.

Poured as a golden yellow liquid in a pils glass at Faust Brauhaus in Miltenberg. Medium bodied and perfectly balanced, crisp and just right to the point. Great pilsener style beer to be enjoyed anytime!

Pours crystal golden beer with nice white head, adequate retention.
Smell of pale malts, slightly lemony and grassy, rather sweet.
Taste is semisweet, malty, ok bitterness, solid hop finish.
Soft carbontion, light body.
Very well-balanced pilsener.

Aroma: mmm, lots and lots of Pils malt rises up to great you interlaced with the smell of Tettnanger or Hallertauer, or maybe it really Saaz which is giving the lemon flavors. This aroma lingers much past the time the foam falls into the beer. Lovely.
Appearance: It's deep straw-golden but not crystal clear. Unter the snow-white head, it's just a little cloudy, maybe due to not being filtered?
Taste: The initial flavor in the front is bitter but also sweet Pils malt. The middle is lots of sweet, caramel Pils malts and some lemon flavors. The back and aftertaste have the same flavors with even tons more caramel Pils malts again and some lemon with bitterness, too. Wow… this is really a great Pils, maybe a Czech version, but great.
Overall, this is a terrific beer. It is fully-bore Pils malts, lots of hop flavors with just enough bitterness to make it interesting, but not to much to be feel the bitterness bite. It's got some lemon flavors, too, so it's a wonderful beer, even one of the best Pils I've had. Love it. It reminds me of a Kneitinger's Pils, but with more hints of lemon.
However, after getting near the end of the bottle where it's warmer, it's getting almost too sweet. mmmm, need to drink more bottles to get to the bottom of this.

Mediocre pils. Light malty aroma and snappy malty taste. Decent head with lacing on the glass, and some bitterness on the palate. Nothing to make this one stand out from the crowd.

I had the pleasure of tasting several of the Faust beers or "biers" right on site, at the Brewery Pub or Braurei. The Pils was a very typical german style pils, crisp, easy to drink and enjoyable on a summer day. With an inch of foam and a low hop profile, this pils was crisp tasting, again, very compatible with any german pils. I'm a little biased considering my last name is faust, yeah, maybe a little. By the way, if your ever in germany, do check out the hometown of Faust in Miltenberg, beautiful little village.

Well I guess I was wrong, I still had a Faust brew style I hadn't reviewed. And yes, it was from Beeradvocate.com's German Beer Festival in 2007. And the beer should read "Feinherb" instead of what I entered.
I'm enjoying this beer from a vessel Drewbage gave me "The Legendary Boonville Beer" from Anderson Valley Brewing Company.
Frank Sinatra is singing "I Only Have Eyes for You" in the background.
Appearance: A lovely golden hue. Obvious from first view this isn't an American Pilsner.
Smell: Crisp and clean. Definite straw.
Taste: Straw. Very subtle. Very clean but not much to describe. Not an American Pilsner by any means, but also not a lot to describe.
Mouthfeel: Clean, not much impact. Definitely crisp.
Drinkability: Very easy to drink. Not a bad Pilsner. Goes down smooth.
