This large box of a beverage store is located about 3 minutes off of route 95, about 5 minutes south of Providence. They have a TON of wine and a TON of Macro swill. The craft and micro brews are relagated to the rear right corner of the store and to a few of the many coolers along the rear wall. Selection is not great, nothing out of the ordinary and alot of the ordinary stuff is not present. So, that relagates this place to the "would do the trick in a pinch" category. Folks who worked here were friendly and directed me to the worth a visit Trinity Brew pub

Visited for the first time on 12/22/07. I had been meaning to try this place since a friend told me a while back that they had Alpha King. I figured even though there’s no way they’d be able to have 3F beers now, it would still be worth checking out. It looked like they were in the process of remodeling and rearranging the layout. The craft brew section is located immediately to the right of the entrance, but there were also some in the coolers and some loose singles on a shelf in the back corner of the store. The selection was diverse, but didn’t have too much that was out-of-the-ordinary and other than the Stone beers didn’t seem to be too many highly-rated beers. Overall, I’d consider the selection good compared to most places, but lacking compared to other places in RI that have expanded craft brew sections like Nikki’s & Towne. Service was friendly. I found the prices to be reasonable and on-target with other stores in area.

Dropped in because I heard there was a mix-a-six and figured I would give it a shot. Mix-a-six selection was altogether unappealing (located in back right corner), and most of the shelf was empty. Cooler wasn't anything special either with your common micro & macro selection. The best they had for craft brews was 4 types of DFH, a pack of Duvel and 4 or 5 varieties of Avery. Other than that, selection was standard. Bottles were dusty (even on the 6 pack of White Rascal I ended up buying from the cooler). All and all, not really worth the trip if you are looking for craft brews, although wine selection appeared decent.

When I worked down the street from this store, I would drop in frequently on my way home in the evening. There is one gentleman in particular (dont remember his name) who is decently knowledgable about craft brew and the staff is usually very friendly. The selection is above average including DFH (including 120 minute and a couple WWS), Unibroue, Hoegarrden, Samuel Smith, Victory, Newport Storm, and a few others. Nothing exhorbitant but at least they have some stuff well worth picking up too. Prices were reasonable as well. They have a sale on the DFH a lot, offering a dollar of six packs, so that is always good. They have tons of room they can work with if they wanted to really dive into the scene.

You'll find a good selection here (not awesome but good) . Craft brews and imports are well represented. Hollandia, Bavaria, Leffe, Konings Hoven, Paulaner, Hoegarden, Franziskaner, Castello, Checkvar, John Courage, Samuel Smiths, Belhaven, Unibroue, Murphys, Boddingtons, Tetleys, Ottercreek, Grittys, Sea Dog, Petes, Dogfish (WWS for 8.99), Newport Storm, Sam Adams, Widmer etc. Always a pleasent surprise is an intelligent staff that recognises the names of other brewerys even if the don't carry them and makes and offer to order what you are looking for if it is available. Even had a fellow working check out that knew what a barleywine was and the difference between a brown ale and a stout. A slighty above average packy.
