Awesome beer store right in my backyard. Well, actually in the city next to me, but hands-down the best place on the East Side of Cleveland. Warehouse Beverage and Whole Foods are nice too, but Chuck's takes the cake for their quality, charm, selection, and awesome service.

As others have noted, you'll need to ask to see the back cooler if you're looking for the good stuff. I remember my first trip and being blown away that they had some things you don't normally find in this state. Mike, the Swami of Suds, is knowledgeable and really just a great guy. He's even reserved stuff for me and special ordered. He rocks!

Brands like Founders, Alesmith, Ithaca, Cantillon, Fantome, Dark Horse, the list goes on and on. If it's available in Ohio (and sometimes even if it's not) they have it.

Chuck's can be a dollar more than some other stores for a $15-ish 750ml, but I love the place, the people, it's creeky floors, and, of course, the back cooler.

Cheers to great beers from one of the best stores I've ever been to!

If you are looking for Eurpoean imports, Chucks is outstanding. They have a large selection and restock often.

American craft beers are hit or miss. They do a nice job of always carrying the Midwest standards - Great Lakes, bells, founders, hopping frog, brew kettle, new Belgium, etc. They don't really get (m)any of the limited releases though from said breweries. Pricing is very fair.

The gems? Occasionally you can find a non-distributed beer thanks to their loyal customers who may drop one off after an out of town trip.

Food is limited to cheese, sausage and really is more of a small grocery. Very good cheese.

Staff is great. They really know their wine. I would not consider them beer geeks at all but they will help you track something down. They aren't going to know what bcbs or hf stand for, though. Very friendly.

After reading about Chuck's on here decided to make the drive down to check it out. I have never been to Chagrin Falls and have to say it is a really nice area. Bring the wife (or husband) and send them off shopping while you visit Chuck's. Atmosphere is really nice in the store, staff is friendly and helpful. Was a little disappointed with the selection of singles. Expected a bit more than what they had. Prices on a singles are a bit marked up compared to other shops. Imports are the draw for Chuck's, unfortunately I didn't get to check out the vault and will have to do that on another visit.

Chuck's Fine Wines is located in the heart of Chagrin Falls right off of Main Street. Because of this, finding the store without a GPS may be a bit difficult for those unfamiliar with the area as it is located quite a distance from the closest highways. There is not a lot of room for parking which can be a little problematic during peak hours or when there are multiple deliveries.

The store itself is rather quaint and has a rather rustic, welcoming feel to it. The creaky hardwood floors and ambient lighting definitely make it feel more like a mom 'n pop store rather than a money-grubbing company. The beer section is a bit chaotic with a well organized self-feed cooler, a large wall with a great selection of imports, and lines of table displays showing off random products. Books and glassware are also littered throughout the store and displayed in random areas with little recognizable reasoning.

The selection is pretty good. Given the size of the store, the lack of some staples is understandable. However, this isn't the kind of store that stocks every Founders and Great Lakes product available (although they do have the majority of their catalogs). The real appeal lies in the store's great selection of imports (La Chouffe, Orkney, Hitachino, etc.) as well as the vault.

The vault is located inside the self-feeding cooler and is accessed from the backroom. Please note that it is normally best to ask to see the vault as opposed to walking back there on your own. The vault is where beers are kept that aren't supposed to be sold at this location (beers not distributed here and beers with ABVs above the 12% state maximum). Entering the vault is usually a random experience. Sometimes you can find Oskar Blues Ten Fidy, other times you find some New Belgium Fat Tire. But the not knowing is what makes it so fun (like opening Christmas presents).

The prices of the six-packs is about on par with similar stores. However, the prices on the import singles is a bit marked up. Also, the prices on any of the specially available items in the vault are marked up a bit (and understandably so).

The products available are usually within date (except for some of the items in the vault) and are maintained well despite the seemingly chaotic organization. Little dust can be noticed on the products (even the ones that probably aren't the best sellers).

The workers are always warm and friendly and will always greet a customer as he/she walks through the door. They will usually allow an appropriate amount of time before asking if you need help and are always willing to offer recomendations when asked. They do not get caught up in long conversations but are obviously happy to help and converse briefly.

Chuck's is for sure the place to go in the Cleveland area if you want to find good beer. The "Swami of Suds", as they call him over there, Mike, is a super nice guy, knows a good amount about beer and is in touch with beer people all across the country. There is a bunch of stuff out in the open but if you really want rare stuff ask to go back in the fridgerated room. I've bought brews by Epic (Utah), De Dolle (Belgium), Schloss Eggenberg (Vienna), Alesmith (California) and some other random ones. You'll probably find something you've never had before.

Mike usually has one or two beers from Three Floyds! Cheers!

Located in a beautiful area of Chagrin Falls. Very friendly staff with a great knowlege of beer. You can head into the back into the cooler and take a peak at things that may not be out on the shelves. Prices are what you would expect. Very good selection. Have been able to find a few gems every now and then. One of the few locations in Ohio where I was able to find Terrapin Brewing beers. My wife and I make an evening of it, by heading to Chucks, then enjoying dinner at one of Chagrins cozy little spots.

This is a great place to buy beer or just browse. Wide selection of beer and wine. Also they make homemade cheese and bread but I have not tried the cheese. As everyone else states the selection of beer is huge and employees are willing to help, especially mike the beer man as I call him. My last purchase came with a free homemade pepperonni roll which was very good. Their is also alot of shops and cafes within walking distance from chucks. This is a shop you have to see if your in the area, or if your 45 minutes away like me.

This is a must go if you are in the Chagrin Falls area. Let me restate that, it is a must go if you are anywhere within 100 miles of Chagrin Falls. The store has a great selection of imports and micros. My favorite micros include Bells, Founders, and Great Divide. Just moved here from Colorado and have found micros from Oskar Blues, Ska, ODells, and Avery.
The "beer guy" Mike is also very knowledgeable and a conversation with this guy is a must. He will introduce you to beers that are spectacular, many of which I had not heard of before. One of the best places I have found since I have moved to Cleveland 3 months ago.
