Consumed in October 2004 . Purchased from a grocery outlet in Redwood City, CA. Well, this may be only the third beer I have ever dumped down the drain. It poured semi-decent. Straw colored beer with a small head that lasted a bit and some lace hanging around. Smells pretty frickin nasty though. Skunky aroma, although not a skunky past expiration skunky, just it's regular skunky ass smell I think. Smells like the bay. Maybe some week old urine you forgot to flush before you went on vacation for a week. I echo the statement of another BA who said it tastes like soap. I was looking for something to describe it and he hit it on the head. No hops of any kind, just watery soap. In fact, I have decided to dump it down the drain. Giving it a decent burial at least. UGH! Stay way, please I beg of you!!!

Part of the world beer pack I had. Not expecting much here; clear bottle & a light cerveza from down south, good looking graphics though. Good head retention & lacing, looks can deceive
Pours a really light effervescent goldwith 4+ fingers of fluffed up white head.
S: Corny with hints of cream of wheat
T: Grassy, grainy & hints of lemon up front. Metallic notes & astrigency follow. Finishes corny with more astrigency
MF: Light with prickly carbonation
Drinks very slow for the style, then turns into a drain pour. My first beer from el salvador, this would not make want to visit, but probably better at the source

Clear, dull straw color, quickly washed away head. Somewhat grassy, it holds the a-typical macro aroma. Very sweet, leaning towards the malt, some corn and grainy flavorings. Mildly carbonated, absolutely light bodied. A dishsoap palate, barely worth sampling, a horrible effort. The beer 7-11 is mass marketing geared towards the Corona crowd, oh my. I'd rather have a Corona, and what does that say?

Appearance: Crystal-clear pale straw color with a small and lingering snow-white head and light carbonation.
Aroma: Begins with a quite pungent skunk aroma, with lesser notes of wet straw and cooked corn.
Taste: Tasting yields a mild note of malt sweetness, more like creamed corn, actually. This is soon overcome by a mild lemony hop flavor. Towards the finish a metallic bitterness and astringent dryness assert themselves.
Mouth feel: Overly thin with a slight tingle of carbonation, little more appeal than carbonated water.
Drinkability/notes: Better than some other light lagers, but so what? A very mediocre beer. Probably best as a lawnmower beer. My fiancee, who generally appreciates better beer, was put off by the excessive skunk note of the aroma.

Ah a new Guatamalan beer in town, from previous expierience I know not to bother, but curiosity gets the better of me.
Appearance is typical, thin, yellowy, extremely clear.Small bubbly white head..this one is slightly better than the usual because the there is some lacing.
Smell is very grassy,hay..typical but not skunked.
The taste is quite sweet and has dsome small amount of malt then a small touch of grassy hops..actually not that bad for a central American lager.
Mouthfeel is thin and very much on the boring side.
Actually Im surprised that I can drink this..its not that bad really, had a lot worse.

Pours a three-fingered white head that goes quickly and leaves traces of lace. Clear light amber color. Light carbonation and light bodied. Nose is grassy almost skunky. Starts smooth, malt and hops are evenly mixed but they are weak, finishes clean, this is a session beer when you are not looking for much flavor. $1.75 for a 12oz bottle from Northend Superette Manchester, NH.

3/16/2005. This beer was introduced recently by 7-11 as they merged with Cerveceria La Constancia SA so they could offer this beer. Probably offering this to try and win over all those Corona drinkers. It is a buck cheaper per sixer than Corona. Santiago Cerveza De Oro pours a light golden-yellow color. Some head but that fizzles down pretty quickly. A grainy, grassy almost borderline skunk aroma (clear bottles). Flavor is more of the same but there really isn't much flavor in there to begin with. I didn't try it with a lime.

Pour: 12oz bottle to pint glass. Light amber-yellowish color with a small white head and plenty of bubble trails.
Nose: Interesting, complex aroma of hay, white grapes, peaches, and licorice. Definately the beers strongest feature.
Mouth: Nice and fizzy, dominated by a grassy taste that I found a bit boring. A little too sweet w/o balance and a strong sense of citrus w/o a lemon or lime accompaniment.

Part of a Beer Traveler's package I got at BevMo, on to the beer:
Pours pale yellow in color. When it settles into my glass, it looks almost like gold with a soapy head. Smells of cooked corn and husks rise from the beer. In the flavor, it's light with some corn sweetness and mild astringency. A light crispness finishes each sip, and seems to ride the only form of detectable bitterness.
A naughty brew, especially when it warms up. What's the El Salvadorian custom of disguising astringent beer with fruit?

A: Poured into a pint glass. No head at all on this bad boy. The color is what watered-down piss would look like.
S: Stinky earthy scent: much like over watered grass.
T&M: Smooth taste going down, but nothing really great about the beer. It tasted slightly skunky and that is never a plus in my book.
D: Didn't try it with any fruit, becasue it's apparently against "Man-law" but I have a sneaking suspicion that it would liven it up a bit. Just ho-hum

This "Cerveza De Oro" comes in a clear bottle...and you can see clear through it. It pours a pale straw with a thin white head. It smells of damp corncob and barn hay. There's just a hint of a malt body. The taste is reminiscent of the excess water from a can of corn. A slight metallic bite and an ever so mild taste of limes are just barely noticeable. A spritzy effervescence stays throughout. Weak and wet as it may be, it's hard to find any objectionable flavors in this beer...well, mainly because there is so little flavor to begin with.

Pours very similar to a urine colour and has average carbonation that leaves behind fast vanishimng one finger head, the smell is lemon/lime,grains,cereal and some wheat, the mouthfeel is lightbodied and only a touch thicker than a Corona with tastes cereal, grain, lemon zest and liquid hops and overall its horrible and as someone has stated before this just around to compete with Corona and even though its better that doesnt mean much.

I picked up a single of this "Corona buster". Yeah, right.
It pours out to a very, very clear color, on par with a light beer. The aroma is terrible as it comes in a clear bottle and who knows how long the stuff is light and heat exposed on its way from El Salvador. The tatse is very watery with a slight lemon tartness. I swear I tasted soap in there as well (if you've ever had your mouth washed out with soap, you'll know what I'm talking about!)
Don't waste your time. This is not a good beer.

A: Light pee colored brew with a lot of bubble movement. Head is fizzy but doing a decent job of staying with the beer. A very fine layer of foam stayed on top of the beer the entire time.
S: Astringent hops, slightly sour malt and some metallic notes.
T: Very light with gentle creamy flavors. Pear, honeycomb and green apple combine to make a gratifying experience. Very faint hops can be found on the way out. Not bad.
M: Thin with a lot of carbonation sting
D: To be honest, not so effing bad. The aroma was horrible and the mouthfeel wasn't so hot either. But the flavor was quite pleasant and the carbonation finished nice. Sort of wish I had another to try with a lime.
