I was told, when i was in El Salvador, that this is the best beer in the country.. . well that depends on who drinks it.
The color. .. is a YES and 3 tumbs up for color, appearance, head. . everything... but
tastes is just awkward, it tastes like white wine, looots of bubbles and when going down road it feels like Coke Soda... is not bad though, is just not that Suprema as the name says.
definetly i can easily drink couple of 24 packs.

This beer pours a fairly pleasing light golden color typical for the style with a surprising amount of carbonation. Not bad. The smell has a citric twang mixed with pale hop overtones. The taste follows suit with the smell. The hops show up well in the aftertaste, with the citric taste of lime present. Grains (rice and corn?) are present also. Mouthfeel is as expected and I could drink several of these on a warm summer night. Not bad overall, one of the better offerings for this style.

I was not expecting the massive carbonated head that laces incredibly thick all the way down. This is like a champagne ale without the fruitiness.
slightly toasted grain type taste and smell. hop presence is cheap and bitter. slight skunky afertast and "no" its not spoiled this is an adjunct type crooked taste.
I found this to be offensive to the palate but the appearance was awesome....combine the two and we have a ballgame. For now we have a mercy rule. Dogfood 10 Suprema 0.

Not as good as you may think, it is not as supreme as it says. Probably the taste is similar to Pilsener and they are probably the very same beer but with a fermentation period different. The hops taste a little old, do not know why. But the bottle shap is different that the rest or the most of them, and it gave m a little, just a little of problems to carry it all the way.

Probably the best thing about this beer was the head retention. It left a decent webbing of white lace around the glass as I drank it.
My sample poured a weak straw color that was transparent. The aroma was basically nonexistent; just a faint whisper of hops in the background.
The taste was pretty much the same. It was dry, bland, and boring. I can see this beer being refreshing if you were working all day long out in the fields, because it's basically carbonated water with some alcohol. It's drinkable, but most definitely lacking in flavor.

Very pale yellow in colour with the lightest hint of green. Slightly lemony aromas, along with notes of light malt and grassy hops. Well carbonated and thin bodied, the bitterness is quite assertive without being overpowering. There seems to be a chemical flavor note which is somewhat off-puting. At least it doesn't taste like your typical corn-flavored North American macro.

Pours with a two-finger white head fades quickly leaving a good lace. Light amber color. Nose has very faint hops. Light bodied, medium carbonation. Starts and finishes slightly hoppy. Good lawn mower beer - not beefy enough when there is snow on the ground. $1.50 for a 12oz bottle.

Suprema is your basic Latin-American golden lager with a bit more malt and hop character than an American macro, but less than most European versions offer. It's crystal-clear golden body is capped by a frothy head of bright-white foam that slowly receeds to a wide, creamy collar and lacy surface covering. It leaves some nice lacing at the outset but reduces to just spottiness beyond that. The nose is clean, somewhat grainy, somewhat lemonish, and a touch floral. The body is light and it's very fine, moderate carbonation leaves it gently crisp and then smooth in the mouth. The flavor delivers a well-balanced combination of lightly grainy malt and grassy/floral hops backed by a firm bitterness that ushers in a dry finish. It's refreshing and well-made but somewhat limited in character.

Light gold color. Medium head. A light bodied lager, Mild hops and malts. Malts are slightly sweet; hops are mild and fairly neutral. Smooth taste. Mild and light flavor. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is neutral and slightly sweet. Not much bad or good to say about this beer. A beer beer. Yup add another counrty to my list.

Pours a pale golden straw color with a foamy white head that fades into a sticky lace. Nose is fresh grains and some notes of lemon grass. Light to medium in body and quite clean and crisp. Taste is mostly sweet grains and malt with only a mild amount of hop bitterness towards the end leaving a dry finish. Pretty decent brew for what it is. Pair this with some chips and spicy salsa.

Presentation: 12 oz green bottle with no freshness date.
Appearance: Pale golden hue with a wonderful white lace that leaves several sticky rings as the beer goes down.
Smell: Lemony and grainy ... clean in the nose.
Taste: Light to medium in body, smooth yet the carbonation goes hand and hand to leave a mildly coarse bite. Dryish on the palate with hints of alcohol and lots of grain flavour for the 6-row malt. Hops stay quite assertive throughout giving a tingling sensation all over the mouth. More grain in the finish ... very clean in the end.
Notes: A bit more flavour than "Pilsener" ... a robust pils in comparison to other South American beers. A great match with some breaded & fried flank steak, black beans and rice.

This is a beer from El Salvador, sold in green, long neck bottle. Deep amber, almost red color. Has a mild skunk aroma that would remind anyone of a Corona. Remarkably crisp, and dry. Very refreshing. My wife points out that it tastes almost like a dry white wine. This would be very good with cuban/mexican meals. I expected to hate this (particularly at $2.99 a six), but I think its a winner.
