Hidden behind Pontillo's on Park Ave. is the Park Bench. It's a nice little bar with a couple pool tables and a couple dart boards giving the patrons plenty to do. They have a couple beers on tap that no one else in Rochester has on tap, namely Flying Dog beers. That's cool with me, as I like Flying Dog quite a bit. I had a few Road Dogs and a couple Brooklyn Lagers and played a few games of pool before I went home. A nice bar. Beware the obnoxious bouncer who thinks he's Chris Farley reincarnated. He's an ass. As long as you're a good sized guy and give him that look You know, the "I'm going to walk over your face" look), he won't bother you. But he's pretty cool once you get to know him. The service was a llittle slow. The bartender seemed busy trying to hit on the girls to get me my beer in good time. But overall, not a bad bar.

I went here this weekend and this place was a s#!@ hole. Early on a friday night and there was hardly anyone there. The place reaked of vomit, stale beer, and urine. They had brooklyn lager, guinness, stella, and the regular macros on tap. I had a few Brooklyn's that were great. There was only one bartender that was more interested in who was looking at her than what she was doing. When I ordered a Brooklyn, she gave me a Guinness. Not worth telling her, I just drank it. I had to leave shortly after I went downstairs to take a leak, the smell of the place was overwhelming at that point.
