Located in the heart of Clarendon's social district, the Woodgrill is a usual hotspot for yuppies in search of the 'scene'. Sidewalk dining in fairer weather lets you enjoy the sights passing by. Inside, a full bar flanks the left side while dining tables fill the bulk of the establishment. More of a restaurant than a bar, it does feature a good variety of brews on tap, and more of the regulars in bottle. The hefe weizen is a nice choice on draught. Moreover, the food is chargrilled and has not been disappointing.

Good selection of beers.. I remember Delerium Tremens and Clipper City to be on tap, as well as Hoegaarden White, and Sierra Nevada. There are probably about 6 or 7 other quality beers on tap as well. The food here is good too, and it's nice to sit outside and enjoy the city vibe. Nice during the summer months.

My favorite pairing is the Clipper City Red Sky at Night, with a grilled striped bass. And the fried calamari is really tasty too, comes with a nice lemon half, and good dipping sauce. Order anything seafood, and you shouldn't be disappointed.

Located in a hip area of Arlington, the Woodgrill is definitely more of a restaurant than a beer bar, but the beer selection is very good and the bar manager makes a point of keeping the tap selection varied. In fact, on their menu, it states that they keep at least six taps open and rotating for seasonal beers. They have a large selection of local micros (Dogfish Head, Clipper City, Dominion), regional micros (SNPA, etc) and imports. Prices are average to slightly above.

The food is very good and affordable and the atmosphere is casual upscale.

To echo a song, its "The best of whats around". While not truely a beer bar per se, this awesome eatery goes to good lengths to provide an interesting selection amongst its 12 or so taps. I wasn't disappointed with any of the offerings on tap, even if some are a bit pedestrian (ie Bass, etc). They do a good job of spreading the field, offering everything from lagers like Fordham to Allagash Grand Cru and White. Didn't notice what they had in bottles, but supposedly they have a few. The bar area is nice, big long granite bar. Food is EXCELLENT. If you like meat cooked over a wood fire, this is your place. Everything from kickass burgers and BBQ, to good steaks and salads. Considering Arlington's distinct lack of beer establishments, this is a nice oasis to drop into. Plus, you can take your girlfriend here for a nice dinner and still get to enjoy some tasty brews.
