Pours a cascading head that's coffee in color. Didn't have much nose to it . Umm has a touch of orange to it and a light chocolate. Yup orange cream filled chocolate candy just not sweet as candy. Good find. Props to the beer man at mollys liquor who said drink this and to the brewers.

A hard pour produced a pathetic dark tan head the vanished in seconds, leaving only a faint ring of tiny bubbles to ring the circumference of the almost black body. The lack of bubbles is probably the reason for lack of aroma, nothing to carry it to the surface. Taste is not very sweet, slightly salty & slightly bitter. Flavor a nice mixture of coffee & cream & chocolate. It’s feel is thin & flat. Overall, it’s good but not as much as I hoped it would be.

Quite a solid summer stout, with very good refreshment. Mahogany-black color; coffee-colored, quick-dissipating head. Aromas of brown bread and almost-stale medium-roast and rich molasses. Very nice, surprisingly dry flavors: thick mesquite-honey, mild espresso, 85% cacao chocolate, cola bitters. Nice carbonic bite, despite the lack of visible effervescence. Smooth finish, with lingering bitters that are nonetheless somehow refreshing, even scantly citric, and sugars that evaporate nicely, leaving no heavy syrup hanging around.

Pours black with a thin tan, creamy head that dissapates quickly. Little to no carbonation.
Smells of coffee and mostly chocolate aroma.
A very sweet chocolate taste with a vanilla finish. I think a slight banana taste sneaks in midway. Slight nutty presence.
The lactose makes for a very smooth mouthfeel, but this one is not thick.

First of all, I picked this up thinking it said cream ale.... Literacy is apparently not my strength. It feels like it is 105 degrees outside, so I was pretty disappointed when I saw my "ale" was the color of coffee... Heavy and thick and .... Freaking delicious! It's like beer, iced coffee and chocolate milk had a super model love child. Really good. A keeper...

Dark, black body with a thin, fizzy head that quickly dissipates into patchy globs of foam atop the body. Rich, chocolate aroma; cocoa powder; vanilla. Bold, sweet chocolate flavors; twinge of bitterness detectable at the finish. Heavy body; rich and velvety; sweet finish.
The looks disappoint with the lack of any substantial, lasting head, but the flavors make up for that deficiency in a big way. Milk chocolate sweetness dominates the flavor profile and finishes with a sweet finish but also leaves you with a faint sense of mild dryness in the finish. Robust sweetness without cloying annoyances. A very satisfying dark ale.

Great smell, though subtle. Taste is also subtle, but nice creaminess. A little oily, but in a good way. Great beer overall because the finish resonates and the carbonation is perfect for a milk stout

Best by 11/9/15.
Pours an opaque black with a foamy dark khaki head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of dark roasted malt, cocoa powder, lactose, and spice aromas. Taste is much the same with cocoa powder, lactose, spice, and citrus fruit flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of roast bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with solid aromas for the style and an interesting citrus flavor that makes sense due to the label stating this one was brewed with orange peels.
