Picked up a sixer of this the other day and have enjoyed a couple of them so far. Ska Brewing is relatively new-ish to San Antonio, and this beer was new to me.
Pours a light orange, pale caramel color with a nice thick head. Yields good, sticky lace. The nose is rich and malty sweet. Hints of vanilla, orange peel, caramel, cut grass, and strawberries. Not bad at all. The taste is fruity with a noticeable caramel malt presence. Light fruits like apple and pear. Some hoppiness, but not much. Pleasantly sweet aftertaste. Mouthfeel is a bit watery.
A nice red ale. Unpretentious but tasty. Sessionable and easy-drinking. I would return to this. Might go well with some grilled sausages or a baked potato.
