APPEARANCE: This is one of the most crystal clear beers I have ever seen. Very pretty. The color is a very light orange and hundreds of bubbles are popping up from the bottom of the glass into a slightly off-white ceiling of head. The head is about a half-inch thick, but quickly loses half of its height.
SMELL: The aroma is quite pleasant with a strong dose of orange, maybe a little coriander and a little citrus.
TASTE: It's funny how the first sip of this instantly takes me to Durango. I first had this beer there a couple of years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. This is what a summer night in Durango tastes like to me, but enough gushing about Ska - the caramel malt comes through in a big way up front. Citrus and some dark fruit emerge towards the end of the sip before an ever so small hint of earthy hops finish it off.
MOUTHFEEL: The malt makes this a medium-bodied brew that starts out a little dry, but finishes a little sweet. Very solidly balanced in this respect.
OVERALL: This isn't the best beer in Colorado. It isn't the best beer that Ska makes either. It is, however, a wonderful session beer from a great brewery.

12 oz. bottle, with no apparent bottled on date present. Another new offering to me from Ska Brewing Co., acquired as part of a mixed six pack at the local Binny's. No abv listed on the bottle anywhere.
Poured into a Duvel tulip glass.
A - It pours a coppery bronze orange colored body with just over a finger of foamy khaki head. Leaves some nice spotty lacing behind. Looks pretty nice.
S - The nose is comprised of sweetened caramel malts, toffee, toasted grains, a bit of soapiness, mild alcohol phenols. A bit of an earthy / twiggy / fruity / berry / herbal tea like presence as well.
T - Taste follows the nose - caramel malt, toffee, herbal / twiggy / earthy tea leaf like flavors, and some mild hop bitterness. Lightly metallic on the finish.
M - The feel is crisp, clean, and malty. Mild fruitiness / bitterness lingering behind on the palate. Medium bodied with good carbonation.
Overall, a solid example of the style from Ska Brewing. This is easily one of the better beers I have had from these guys, and one that is a likely contender for repeat drinking.
