Reviewed at Cosby Campground, Smoky National Park, TN. Full notes taken at time of consumption.
A- The bottle pours with an orange not red body to a chalice. Pretty much clear of any haze as a white cap forms to about one finger. The fluffy head falls to a thin ring and lacing is spotty.
S- Yeast fruits come to mind with apple esters and some dried light fruits. Toasted, cereal and light crystal grainy hints. Not picking up much and strength is a bit lacking.
T- The paler appearance of the beer shows up in the flavor as it lacks anything beyond lightly toasted malts. Cereal grains, biscuit, light crystal and just a bit sweet. Bready from the yeast with light fruits coming to mind and a finish provided by spicy, earthy hops.
MF- Light bodied with a crisp, foamy consistency. The carbonation is moderately high and it all ends lightly bitter.
Just not up to par with other Red Ales. Has a strong fruity yeast feel and lacks malts and hops to really counteract that. Leaves me looking for more.

12 oz. bottle, with no apparent bottled on date present. Another new offering to me from Ska Brewing Co., acquired as part of a mixed six pack at the local Binny's. No abv listed on the bottle anywhere.
Poured into a Duvel tulip glass.
A - It pours a coppery bronze orange colored body with just over a finger of foamy khaki head. Leaves some nice spotty lacing behind. Looks pretty nice.
S - The nose is comprised of sweetened caramel malts, toffee, toasted grains, a bit of soapiness, mild alcohol phenols. A bit of an earthy / twiggy / fruity / berry / herbal tea like presence as well.
T - Taste follows the nose - caramel malt, toffee, herbal / twiggy / earthy tea leaf like flavors, and some mild hop bitterness. Lightly metallic on the finish.
M - The feel is crisp, clean, and malty. Mild fruitiness / bitterness lingering behind on the palate. Medium bodied with good carbonation.
Overall, a solid example of the style from Ska Brewing. This is easily one of the better beers I have had from these guys, and one that is a likely contender for repeat drinking.
