12oz can received from sproser in the Artistic Label BIF. Thanks Shawn! Poured into a Bruery tulip.

A - Pours an ever-so-slightly hazy amber color with a small cream colored head that gives up quickly and falls to a collar and a few patches of foam on the surface.

S - Nice citrusy aroma. Some grapefruit, lemons, orangey aromas, with some lighter piney smells too. Just a touch of sweet malt in the background. Has a very fresh smell to it.

T - More piney in flavor than the aroma. Still lots of grapefruit contributing to the flavor as well. Fresh and hoppy - more bitter than I expected, but very crisp and clean bitterness.

M - On the light side. Very crisp feeling. Carbonation on the higher side and this works well on this beer - seems to enhance the bitterness and citrus aspects of the beer.

D - Highly drinkable pale ale. Can doesn't say anything about alcohol %, but I'm guessing in the 5.5-6% range. Very clean and full of hop flavor, without a real heavy bitterness. Very good pale ale in my opinion. Would definitely like to get some more of this.

This beer review is in remembrance of my brother. Today is his first birthday since his passing. Will pour some out for him as well. ~10oz of a 12oz can poured into Duvel tulip.

10:29pm

Appearance - Hazy (slight to moderate) amber (light to medium) body. One-fingered, slightly offwhite pancake batter head with good retention and well defined, sticky lacing. 5

Smell - Hop and orange. Grassy. 5

Taste - Slight honey sweetness undercuts a balanced grassy body. 5

Mouthfeel - Medium bodied, especially with the creamy head. But the character is refreshing enough that it comes across as fairly light. 5

Overall - The best in style I've had in a long time, possibly ever. Only about 1% of my ratings get perfect 5's (this is #647). Glad this one could be one of those. It was a good pick, bro. Thanks for all the good times. Thanks for always buying me every new Nintendo console or the games i wanted since I was little. Thanks for watching out for me. I'll do my best to be there for your son. 5

Dark piss color; see-through.

Off-white head which dissipates; decent lacing.

Smells of sweet malt & earthy hops. Inviting.

Medium mouthfeel.

The taste is wonderfully balanced between hop & malt; both shine. A nice beer.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, best before 4/13/2019. Pours fairly crystal clear deep golden amber/light orange color with a 1 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, honey, caramel, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and dark/bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, honey, caramel, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, woody, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, honey, caramel, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and dark/bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance; and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/sticky, and fairly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 6.2%. Overall this is an excellent American pale ale. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and dark/bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/resinous/drying finish, not aggressive. Feels like Centennial, Amarillo, Goldings. Awesome balance of juicy, dank, and earthy hop complexity; with a nice sized bready malt backbone. Mild residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example. Really great classic hop profile.

Winter sports and endless pizza are just a few of the inspirations that cause Ska brewers to create a crushable pale ale that celebrates the hops of the pacific northwest but also has balance. Herbal and toasty, this little pale ale has it all.

Euphoria pours with a light tawny bronze color and builds a creamy off white lather to draw in the eye. Its toasty aromas are more of a display of citrusy, herbal and perfumy hops. A granola filled early palate hosts malt flavors of caramel, honey, nuttiness, toastiness and grape nuts cereal.

Sweetness gradually drifts away across the middle palate to make way for the hops. Orange peel, grapefruit and a zip of lemon decorates the tastebuds while a softer and more succulent mango flavor rises. Nutty with pecan and toast, the flavors develop a piquant bitterness with grapefruit peels, soft pine resins and a sharp grassy bite hitting late on the palate.

Medium bodied, the beer retains enough malt sweetness to take a decent edge off of the hops. Still, the hops take control of the finish with a drying resin character and a mild leafy peppery bite that lingers into a medium length afterglow. Now where are those pizzas?
