Cascaded it slowly down the side of a pint glass, while whispering a sweet petition to be halfway decent after a hard day. Alas, I was in luck.
The color is of an orange-caramel rustic hue; how an IPA should appear-a good start.
Coming off under-carbonated in part lending a weak mouth feel, Modus Hoperandi leaves a bit to be desired. Almost 'watery'. Although this isn't detrimental to taste.
Hoperandi tastes as its aroma suggests; a clean, sweet malty backing, with a gladly received bitter resin punch. Don't look for grapefruit here.
Overall impression: Not going back for a repurchase, but I'll gladly finish the next five in the cool trunk with a smile on my face.
