Served on tap at Rackhouse Pub in a pint glass.
I had this a few years ago from the can and wasn't that impressed so I thought I'd give it another try.
Amber in color and with very good clarity and a 1/4" of white head.
Aroma is very hoppy and fresh with all of the good citrus and piney hops you could ask for in a standard IPA.
Flavor is big in hoppiness and bitterness but not overwhelming in either, which is a hood thing. The amber malt base is big enough to stand up to the hops but not too big to get in the way of the hops. It's a hop head's IPA but still fairly drinkable.
Mouthfeel is medium-light in body and perfectly carbonated for the style. Balanced enough but still plenty bitter.
Overall a really good Colorado IPA and I'm glad I gave it another try.

A: Pours a vibrant orange golden (lightly hazy) with 1 1/2 finger of khaki-colored bubbly head. Tons of sticky lacing is left when the head recedes.
S: Big aromas of grapefruit, stone fruit, guava, and a little bit of pine dominate. Some sweet malt character. Some slight hint of alcohol.
T/M: Smooth lightly wheaty malt sweetness gives way to big citrus hop character and juiciness. Accompanying this is a mild hop bitterness that swells through the finish and lingers alongside malt character. Mouthfeel is medium with moderate, fine, foaming carbonation that doesn't strongly affect the flavor of the beer.
O: Really a nice IPA -- big and juicy flavor without an overwhelming bitterness. Mouthfeel is really nice and complements the beer well.

T: definitely bitter and full of hops, yet a bit mellower flavor than other IPA's .
