A: Very good clarity, dark copper in color with a decent 1-1.5 finger slightly almond colored head that fades quickly to a bubble layer on the surface. Very nice lacing all around the glass. Sticky icky!
S: Blast of pine and oily hop resin balanced with a caramel/toffee malt profile. Alcohol not apparent on the nose.
T&M: Hoppy, resinous and piney with a smooth creamy caramel backbone. This is a well balanced beer and actually leans more to the maltier side in the taste than the nose lets on. Pretty round and full body with a nice creaminess and clean sweet finish with a mild hoppy bite.
O: Overall, this is a piney IPA with a big body and malt base. Easily drinkable and quenching. Not my personal favorite style of IPA (I prefer citrusy IPAs) but I can definitely appreciate it. Great piney IPA. And it comes in a can!

A solid beer but not my favorite. A surprisingly dark yet appealing amber color for an IPA. Nose is hints of grapefruit and pine. Taste has similar characteristics but they are almost overpowered by a sweet, caramel maltiness. It's good. I like somewhat malty IPAs but this is more than I prefer. The dating on the can suggests it's pretty fresh, but I wonder if it's a bit past its prime and has lost some hop kick.
