I picked this up at the local Jewel-Osco store as part of a build-your-own six pack for $9.99, making it $1.67 for a single 12oz can. There is some kind of code on the side of the can but it's a mish mash of letters and numbers that make no sense, so as far as I'm concerned there is no freshness date.
The beer poured a cloudy golden/orange color with a huge 3-finger white head that lasted several minutes. The lacing was also incredible.
The aroma was a nice mix of pine and citrus hops.
Pine and grapefruit hop flavors dominate the taste, but there is also plenty of sweet caramel malt for balance. Lots of bitterness, but it's not harsh. 65 IBU's.
Smooth and creamy mouthfeel, medium bidied, with moderate carbonation. Nice lingering butter aftertaste.
This is a delicious IPA.
