I'm finishing off the last two of a sixer tonight. I've tried it straight up, with lemon, and with lime, and it's actually pretty enjoyable every way. However, it's quite typically a Mexican style beer, and therefore I think I like the "with lime" version best. Either way it's a darn fine compliment to Mexican food, or just a bucket of tortilla chips and some salsa.
Light yellow and clear with great lacing but a so-so head.
Smell is of some adjuncts, some hops, and a little bit of grassiness. It's weak smelling but not bad.
It tastes pretty good, albeit this is a style without huge amounts of flavor like imperial stouts or IPAs. There's some citrus and no shortage of grassy hops. No complaints at all on taste, even if you don't write home to momma about the fanastic beer find you just discovered.
Body is appropriately light and very easy to drink. Bitterness on the finish is light but nice. The beer is very crisp and drinakble.
It's a very fine Mexican style lager, better than most, if not all the major brands that "define" this style. I say Ska did a great job on this beer. Definitely a plus on barbacoa day, or when you're getting a bag of tacos to go.
There's an old saying... "life is like a bag of tacos, sometimes you get the chorizo." However, this chorizo is the premium stuff, may I have another!

poured from the 12 oz can into my new belgium goblet:
A pours a thin light yello with a blanch white head, settles to a thin film
S no much to the nose a bit metallic (honetly I am thinking macro)
T not bad! light on the palate -
M thin and easy to drink
D a real session beer - missing on quality taste - but if you can find em cheap, guzzle away! at least its better than bud!
