On the outside there are large grain silos and fermentation tanks as well as a 4 story building, but inside is your standard family restaurant/brewery. Certainly a nice place to just chill at the bar, but not a standout atmosphere.
Beer quality is decent with true to style, and clean tasting beers. With the Mexican Logger it does come off as trying a bit too hard to be like corona.
Service was similar to any other restaurant bar, with bartenders running around making drinks for tables, while trying to chat up bar patrons. Again not bad, but not mind blowing.
Definitely an IPA heavy brewery, with a very limited selection of dark beers, let alone mild & malty beers. A couple lagers are available though.
I will say the food was pretty tasty. The burger tasted like a backyard BBQ burger with a skilled BBQ dad manning the grill (I like that taste), but the salad was a bit generic, with a strange amount of black pepper at the very bottom that looked a bit like dirt.

Ska falls into the category for me of breweries that are well worth a stop if you're in town, but not noteworthy enough to alone be a reason to travel to Durango. On the other hand, there are a lot of good reasons to visit Durango, from Mesa Verde to the mountains, so you'd enjoy your visit.
The bar/brewpub has a hefty selection of 20 taps, every one a Ska brew. These days, about a dozen are the conventional Ska lineup, and the rest come from their more adventurous Mod operation (gose, saison, sours, etc.). The quality ranges from good to pretty good. Modus Hoperandi and Modus Mandarina are standouts. There's food, pizzas and sandwiches, but I didn't try it. You can definitely eat there, but this is no gastropub. There are a couple of TVs, if you want to catch a game, but this is no sports bar. The vibe is Durango community, an active crowd, enjoying good beer.

One of the first breweries in the USA to can craft beer; worth a stop just out of respect. Stopped in while passing through Durango (a cool town indeed) driving from Mesa Verde to Great Sand Dunes National Park in Southern CO.
Cool bar and decor with a semi-industrial metal setup. Plenty of seating with a separate area for merch and a few coolers of beer to take home. They had singles, six packs and bombers of limited releases which was nice. I grabbed a few single 12oz bottles to try while camping.
We got a flight to split and all the beer was satisfying. They covered several different styles and none of the brews were disappointing. You can say what you want about the ska theme of the brewery but the beer itself hits the spot. No reason not to stop if you are in Durango.

I didn't stay here long, but I had enough time to get a flight for $5 (5 two-ounce pours, I think) and a $3 pour of Modus Hoperandi.
In general, I don't buy Ska beers back in New Mexico as many are average at best--- Modus Hoperandi being the one exception--- but I found at least three beers on tap I would have enjoyed drinking a pint of: Estival Cream Stout, Ten Pin Imperial Porter, and the Busta Nut Brown. The first two were good, the latter respectable.
Anyway, I liked the daily specials, including the $3-all day pours on the day I visited and the space was pleasant enough. There's food on hand, sixers and growlers to go in a refrigerator, and plenty of schwag for sale.
