Draft at the brewpub. This was the winner of the 7 beers I tried from this place, which, to quote the movie "Waiting," is "like being the smartest kid with Down Syndrome." Just kidding - this brewery makes some reasonable beers, way more so than neighboring Stateline Brewery.
Pours dark brown with a one-finger tan head and good lacing.
Aroma is very roasty with chocolate and earthy notes.
Flavor is very nice and balanced, with roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, and earth. Tasty stuff, not half bad.
Medium body with a somewhat smooth mouthfeel.
Drinkable and thoroughly enjoyable overall.

(I wrote down "Paramount Porter" in my log, but assuming by other reviews, its the same beer)
A: Deep brown color; opaque but for ruby on the edges when held up to strong light. Poured a 2 finger tan head that slowly dissipated to a creamy cap (I poured it aggressively). Patchy lacing.
S: Big toasted barley flavors; biter coffee, chocolate and burnt toast. Citrus hops well in the bakcgrouind as malts dominate.
T: Chocolate, burnt toast and roasted nuts. A bit of bitter molassas in the middle. Bittering hops are sufficient to clean-up the finish without biting the tongue too hard. Good balance for a big beer.
M: Medium body; actually a little light, I thought, for a porter. Low carbonation. Silky and smooth with a nice finish.
D: Very drinkable. Not cloying and not too filling. Good flavor and balance is the halmark of this beer.

There may be several porters that rotate on tap here because the Panorama is certainly a light brown, possibly amber color. No way it can be described as black.
Nose is sweet caramel, toast, and a clean metallic note.
Palate is thin, watery, un-porter like with not a lot of hops doing very much. No typical roast or malted barley. Watered down, inauthentic to style.
I verified the pour wasn't a mistake. And their menu proudly proclaims that it is a lighter porter.

This was one of the better beers at Tahoe Brewing Company. Poured a translucent ruby brown - frothy head that dissipated almost instantly. Almost perfect nose of coffee, buttery caramel, and sweet chocolate. The taste goes south with an unbalanced malt character and watery mouthfeel. I could drink one more but not back to back. Their pizza was amazing by the way - as may toppings as you please!

Sampled every brew in the place. It took a whole day for the service to get me every brew but thats for the beerfly review. The porter was a deep black and a heavy roasted malt/coffee flavor. Mouthfeel was watery for this style and almost too easy on my taste buds for my liking. Served in a pounder it had nice lacing and retention. Seemed like a well put together brew. Easy drinker with a decent well rounded charred wood presence. Would have liked it to have a bit more body and depth, For a tourist town and smalltime brewery this comes through nicely in the clutch.

Dark almost black body with a tan cap. laces in rings and looks pretty tasty.
Smell is roasted barley and some citric hops. Light chocolate and coffee finish it off.
Taste is full of barley, lightly sweet with a good hop finish to keep it from becoming cloying. Easily drinkable.
The best offering I had on my visit, and a pretty decent porter to boot.
