Clear deep gold beer with a good white head. Palate is fairly dry with a light crispness. Dry malt, a little cream. Light minerals. A whisper of hop - and citrusy marmalade. Lingering finish with a nice balance between sweetness and bitterness. Finishes smooth. A touch dry but okay.

Poured from 330mL green bottle into a tumbler.

Appearance: medium-rich golden hue with a totally clear body and a finger of frothy eggshell foam atop.

Smell: a bit sweet and just a little corny. Nothing special here, but for a Euro strong lager, it's not bad at all.

Taste: a little sweet but not overly so; there's a decent malt flavor here, albeit with a hint of that corniness. Bitterness is relatively high. I wouldn't say it's my favorite beer in the world but again, for the style, it's not too bad.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and a pretty good creaminess!

Overall: maybe it's because it's not a 9% behemoth, but by the standards of the style, this is a pretty mellow and decent beer.

A good spanish lager. More malty and stronger than Mahou, Victoria Malaga etc. Sweetness is not balanced by hops, so a bit boring. But malts feel good and easy.

I drink this all of the time in Spain, despite the fact it is not a for-the-thirsty lawnmower beer like Mahou. Bready, malty, with a hop-forward edge. I know no other euro lager like it. Good stuff.

When I lived in Madrid, this was one of the budget beers that was always worse than green Mahou, so I never bought it. Anyway, this is supposedly different, so let's give it a go.

First impressions are that they must be very confident of their beer. As there are no labels. Similar to Westerveelerveren 12. Interesting. Or perhaps no one buys there beer and they have run out of their marketing budget.

Lots and lots of head. Fairly small bubbles. Quite dark appearance. Aroma is mostly froth. For obvious reasons.

I love the bitterness. I think I used the wrong glass for this. It's really bitter, almost West Coast IPA style bitter, without any fruitiness or citrusness. Actually it's pretty amazing and totally surprising, I wasn't sure what to expext as it doesn't actually say anything on the bottle as there is no label.

The beer that this reminds me of most is a Raderberger. It's possibly even more bitter than a Raderberger, but lacks some of the malt and subtle hop flavour. Mouth feel is a little more simple and doesn't have the same complexity. But it comes surprisingly close. I'm very very impressed with this. It's probably better than Budvar, just. I think no pilsner will ever beat Raderberger, and even Putin agrees.

This is mega impressive and maybe I will try this and Raderberger together, tomorrow. Let's see who wins. This is at the same level. I didn't expect this for sure. Mahou, Estrella and San Miguel do not come close to this.

Very very impressive. They were very arrogant to be like Westerveleren. Did they succeed? Yes.

Tasty and refreshing Euro lager, full flavoured and good balanced malt and hops. Good carbonation. My first lager out of Spain. Very good - would definitely get it again and recommend.

A: pours a golden, translucent body with white head with ok retention and lacing.
S: bready, macro smell with hints our sourdough.
T: bready, sourdough notes; not much flavor to it, but relatively smooth.
M: slightly overcarbonated
O: ok for a backyard BBQ, but not very flavorful.

Served in a wine glass from the bottle.

Appearance: Transparent amber with a white head very bubbly to the body.

Smell: hoppy creamy aroma.

Taste: Semi sweet yet heavy malt coming off with a creme feel to the brew. Think of marzen on roids.

Mouth: smooth finish with a semi sticky aftertaste. Medi to heavy carbonation to the body.

Overall: Nice smooth beer for a hot summer day. Will definitely buy more. Salud!

A 330ml, beautifully embossed, green glass bottle from my hotel minibar in Seville, Spain.

Pours golden amber with a one finger head that collapses quickly leaving spotty lacing.

Bready, malty, woody nose.

Pronounced malt flavours - honey and light treacle. Alcohol heat is present.

Rich & smooth mouthfeel. Lightly drying. Foaming carbonation.

Am drinking this at 6pm in 36C/97F heat on my hotel balcony. What I really need is a light, cold lager but this is all there was. Too heavy and alcoholic for a summertime thirst-quencher but worth seeking out as a nightcap.

330 ml green bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Crystal clear deep golden colour, big to moderate white head. Fairly nice and moderately sweetish aroma, notes of hops and spices. The flavour has a noticeable malty sweetness but also fairly decent hops, with some spicy notes. Hints of caramel. Better than I feared.
