Sierra Nevada was my old standard by which I rated all Pale Ales, This one just knocked Sierra Nevada off the pedestal. A good solid Pale Ale. I drank this one with two friends, one from Seattle and one from California, both do not like IPA's and other hoppy Ales but they both enjoyed this brew. We had a good time enjoying this one together.

12oz can (no dates or codes) into a tulip. Pours a clear coppery honey color w/ a fluffy off-white head, leaves behind a good coat of lace.
Aroma is mostly floral NW hops.
Taste is bready pale malt and spicy, floral NW hops. A nice mellow balance, easy drinking. A good citrusy twang in there too.
Mouthfeel is medium-bodied, smooth w/ a gentle bitter kick on the finish.
Overall a simple, understated session NW pale ale that takes me back a few years.

Review from notes.
A: Pours a hazy amber color with a small off-white head on top. Not much retention with sporadic lacing.
S: Light citrus, some orange peel and lemon with some caramel and faint pine.
T: Similar to the aroma, a bit of citrus upfront - some orange and grapefruit, with a hefty amount of grainy and caramel malt.
M: Light to medium bodied with medium carbonation.
O: A decent pale ale, easy drinking and smooth. A little on the malty side.
