A brilliant pour into an imperial nonic, rich amber/bronze with a large clingy white head that left multiple rings of broken lace as it settled into a frothy mass.Big resiny hops with equally big caramel malt,I even picked up a hint of spice wich I found a bit odd but not detracting.Sweet malty goodness hits at the onset with some warming alcohol, the resiny hops make a huge presence in the finish. Its borderline too sweet but the big resiny hops in the finish holds it back just enough,a solid DIPA,and it is that for sure although the label says IPA.

Pours a copper color with 1" head to it. Aroma is lacking in hops for a dipa, much less when compared to the regular version. No bottle date, so maybe it is hoppy and I just can't tell, good reason to bottle date your hoppy stuff brewers.

Sweet taste, big ass bitterness, this is either slightly aged or they just did a long ass high alpha acid boil, but regardless, I'm, as usual, more partial to the single ipa version. Too much oxidized cardboard flavor, too much sweetness and bitterness, not enough hops. Is it age or less than stellar execution? Mild citrus notes from the beer.

Probably wouldn't try this again unless I could be assured it was fresh or it was cheap. Otherwise, unless bitterness is your sole objective, I'd say pass.

pours a bright copper-orange into a bold amber with a subtle gold tint in the glass. one finger head that frothy, lightly coated lacing, both which stick around a while. slight haze.

smells like somebody dropped me in hops and pine cones. some evergreen shit here. overtones of a a sweet bread, almost like raisin. can slightly smell the higher alcohol content.

tastes hella piney and citrus-y. your basic american IPA with its own kick. just of a different nature, can't really place it. but this was compared to Stone IPA and Lazy Boy IPA on tap when i first had it, it kicked both the others teeth in and i never looked back. just a superior brew.

frothy on the mouthfeel. dry finish leaves a moist feel that cries for more.

my go-to bar beer anywhere in seattle that has it, namely my old neighborhood pub: a terrible beauty in west seattle.
taste holds up surprisingly well in a 24 oz. bottle compared to its god-tier on tap counterpart.

22 oz. bomber poured into a straight pint glass.

A: Rich golden yellow color with a thin white head of foam. For such a small head, there is a fair amount of lacing left behind.

S: Strong aroma of pine and hops with a hint of lemon and malt.

T: The main flavor is citrus, with backing malt and hops. This is extremely well balanced, as the alcohol is not very noticeable.

M: Medium carbonation with a very warm mouth feel. Very smooth with almost no bitterness.

O: This reminds me more of an Imperial than a straight IPA, but regardless of what you call it, Supergoose is one my favorite local IPAs.

Cloudy copper hued with a tight crop of beige suds.
Intensly resinous nose with a distinct marijuana notes. Honestly, this smells as much like ganja as any beer I've had. Some pine and metallics (iron) add further hoppiness. Shortbread attempts for aromatic balance, and fails.
The shortbread falls upon the tongue first, terse and to the point. There will be no balance here, although honey notea arise more as it warms. Hops blast in with bitter herbs, pine sap, kind buds, and flowers. It's all types of bitter, and eventually crosses the astringent threshold with its last bursts of minerals, metal, and lingering pine/pipe resin.
Medium bodied, lowly but steadily carbonated. It's built like a higher-proof drinker (and alcohol is never even thought of), but the bracing bitterness gives way to a gruff abrasiveness.
End game: It's too one-sided. This needs more malt to soften and offset its hop assault.

Pours light grapefruit, with some white head. A little hoppy aroma. Average mouthfeel, could use a bit more, a plus is its not acidic.Good blend of American and British hops, with orangey taste. Well malted down, though a little sugary sweetness, the IBU comes through, but its not a DIPA.

Pours a finger and half of tight head on a cloudy medium straw colored body.
The aroma has pine needles and pineapple.
The taste starts with a sharp bitter note, rounded out by a good dose of malt and almost fruity sweetness and finishes with a long dry bitter note. Great profile.
The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation.
Excellent.

Very hazy orange with a two fingers of cream colored head that recedes rather soon leaving nice rings of lace.
Smell is mostly sweet malts. I can't pick out any hops aromas.
Taste is big time sweet malts with a light amount of hop bitterness.
Mouthfeel is medium with just enough carbonation. Lightly bitter somewhat dry finish.
overall a middle of the road DIPA. Nothing bad about it just too many big competitors.
About 10 to 20% more hops would do it. With no date on the can I can't tell if the beer might be a bit old. If I see it on tap I will give it another try.

22 picked up today at the COOP... didn't catch the price, but I would guess it's in the $5 range... poured into my Delirium goblet... Brenda had some, but she says it's too much, too late.

1" foamy head leaves pretty descent lace... the brew is a polished orange/lite copper.

Nose has a fair amount of citric hoppiness dusted with a little pine.. quite a bit of bready pale maltiness with some toast and caramel.

Flavor begins fairly bitter... a little abrasive for my palate... melts slowly into a thicker than average maltiness with a bunch of citrus zest hops... pine is there, but more on the finish... the malts remind me of sugar cookies... not even close to that sweet, more of an essence.. body is a bit bigger than expected and the carbonation is smooth.

I've had this on tap quite a few times over the last couple of months.. while this is pretty solid, I think I prefer the draft.
