Pours a beautiful hazy amber orange color, with a thick frothy white head. Head dissapates slowly leaving decent amount of lacing.

Strong citrus scent from the hops with subtle floral notes as well. Picking up some light caramel scents too.

Good amount of bitterness and crisp taste complimented by the soft carbonation and full body. Grapefruit at the forefront with slight caramel aftertaste. Long hoppy finish and a very nice IPA.

It has a smooth bitter taste. This is more of a hop head beer. It is a double IPA but did not taste like it it only tasted like a regular IPA. Smells like a normal beer did not tatse the alcohol . it had a average apperance on pour. overall good beer but not great i say try it at least once

would not buy again

On-tap at the brewery in Seattle.

Pours a golden hue, with some orange hints to it. Head is a good fine ring of offwhite that leaves creamy rings of lacing. Body is very solid, with decent hazing. Looks good.

Nose is pretty standard IPA fare. Some light citrus characters, reminding me a little of orange pith. Some light caramel or butterscotch undertones to support it. It has a whiff of Simcoe to it. Not bad.

Bright, fruity entry levels out to some husky grain characters on the mid-palate. There's a pronounced hop flavour here: just the fragrant taste of hops, but not the bitterness. By the end, the hops have dropped to a pellety consistency, which does bring the bitterness, along with a lingering sweetness like lemon butter. It's a robust-flavoured beer, no doubt about it.

Feel is smooth and clean, and the bitterness almost provides a textural element of its own.

Overall, this is good stuff. I feel like 7.5% ABV is a bit weak for a DIPA, but this has amped up the hops to an unreasonable degree, so I feel it's earned the title. Good stuff.

On tap into an American pint glass @ Wing Dome, Seattle. Pours a clear copper, leaves behind some sticky lacing.

Aroma is classic citrus and pine combination.

Taste is citrus, pine, and hop resin. Biscuity pale malt holds it together but the focus is the hops.

Mouthfeel is clean and crisp, drinkable.

Overall a good IPA, pretty standard but tasty and refreshing.

Pours hazy bright orange with a few fingers of foamy head. Good moderate lacing down the glass.

Aroma is a little malt forward for the style. A lot of sweet bread aroma along with a pine forest of hops. Maybe a touch of citrus, but the aroma is pretty one note hop wise.

A little more citrus in the flavor, but still drowned out by a lot of pine. Not a bad flavor, but not complexity either. The malt sweetness cuts through and it creates a somewhat metallic finish. A little awkward on the back of the tongue.

Finishes pretty dry with the resiny hops lingering and unfortunately the off flavor lingering on the tongue.

Mediocre IPA. Some good things here, but a few flaws too and the flavor profile is a bit too one note for me.

pours a bright copper-orange into a bold amber with a subtle gold tint in the glass. one finger head that frothy, lightly coated lacing, both which stick around a while. slight haze.

smells like somebody dropped me in hops and pine cones. some evergreen shit here. overtones of a a sweet bread, almost like raisin. can slightly smell the higher alcohol content.

tastes hella piney and citrus-y. your basic american IPA with its own kick. just of a different nature, can't really place it. but this was compared to Stone IPA and Lazy Boy IPA on tap when i first had it, it kicked both the others teeth in and i never looked back. just a superior brew.

frothy on the mouthfeel. dry finish leaves a moist feel that cries for more.

my go-to bar beer anywhere in seattle that has it, namely my old neighborhood pub: a terrible beauty in west seattle.
taste holds up surprisingly well in a 24 oz. bottle compared to its god-tier on tap counterpart.

Update: this is not a limited release, it's brewed year around as far I can tell.

Pours a rather dark amber with a solid sheet of light yellow foam. Ruddy. Smells like grass, grapefruit, resin, mint and sweet crystal malts. Flavor is very balanced, more so than I would prefer in a DIPA. Malts up front with dry bitterness and some grapefruit rind. A bit of oxidation on the malts. Medium on full bodied with moderately hi carb to boot. This is a below average beer. I've got a couple friends to I recall really digging this beer, but I can't really subscribe. Not likely to reinvest here.

Pours out slightly hazy amber with only the barest amount of orange tint around the edges and a two finger white foamy head with amazing retention time, but only average lacing. Has some fairly large chunky bits of sediment floating around.
Smells and tastes like a fairly well balanced blend of caramel malt with mostly pine resin notes and grapefruit peel with plenty of grassy and herbal hop tones in the middle. Finish is only mostly-dry but has a decent sustain to it. Body and carbonation levels are both medium.

While it may be a well-balanced IPA, I have tasted many IPAs just as well balanced that had more complexity to them. Still, it's in the right zone to be accessible and quite drinkable even if it won't bowl you over like a "masterpiece" beer would.
