Thanks to GRG1313 for sharing this one at his tasting.

Pours a hazy orange with a foamy khaki head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Foamy swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, brown sugar, citrus fruit, and citrus zest aromas. Taste is much the same citrus zest flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is quite similar to an American barleywine in the aromas and flavors.

Pours a beautiful hazy amber orange color, with a thick frothy white head. Head dissapates slowly leaving decent amount of lacing.

Strong citrus scent from the hops with subtle floral notes as well. Picking up some light caramel scents too.

Good amount of bitterness and crisp taste complimented by the soft carbonation and full body. Grapefruit at the forefront with slight caramel aftertaste. Long hoppy finish and a very nice IPA.

It has a smooth bitter taste. This is more of a hop head beer. It is a double IPA but did not taste like it it only tasted like a regular IPA. Smells like a normal beer did not tatse the alcohol . it had a average apperance on pour. overall good beer but not great i say try it at least once

would not buy again

On-tap at the brewery in Seattle.

Pours a golden hue, with some orange hints to it. Head is a good fine ring of offwhite that leaves creamy rings of lacing. Body is very solid, with decent hazing. Looks good.

Nose is pretty standard IPA fare. Some light citrus characters, reminding me a little of orange pith. Some light caramel or butterscotch undertones to support it. It has a whiff of Simcoe to it. Not bad.

Bright, fruity entry levels out to some husky grain characters on the mid-palate. There's a pronounced hop flavour here: just the fragrant taste of hops, but not the bitterness. By the end, the hops have dropped to a pellety consistency, which does bring the bitterness, along with a lingering sweetness like lemon butter. It's a robust-flavoured beer, no doubt about it.

Feel is smooth and clean, and the bitterness almost provides a textural element of its own.

Overall, this is good stuff. I feel like 7.5% ABV is a bit weak for a DIPA, but this has amped up the hops to an unreasonable degree, so I feel it's earned the title. Good stuff.
