This is the closest beer distributor to my home, but I rarely go there unless I am looking for a keg for a big event or a mildly edgy case of beer to serve at a party where most people are non-craft brew fans (ex. Leinenkugel's). They have an aisle for craft brews, but they don't seem to move much of this type of beer, so you may need to blow the dust of the case before you buy it. The last time I went in there, I saw a case of Leinenkugel's that was over a year old. Hopefully, that makes it clear why I haven't been back for some time.

This used to be my "go-to" place for beer...but not so much anymore. It's not that it's bad, but it's just OK. They have a nice selection of macro's at reasonable prices. Their selection of craft beer has dropped off in the past years though. I mean, they have a decent selection, but nothing to write home about. Place is clean and pretty well organized. Staff on the whole is friendly and they try to help you out. I think this place has changed hands though, or had a total over-haul and that is what has dropped the quality. Also not super easy to find as it is kind of hidden off the main road. Not bad, but not even close to great.

What to say about Brewer's Outlet...
Well, let me put it this way...if I were not able to his Shangy's or maybe even Tanczos, this would probably be my next stop. A rather large facility, but again, not larger than Shangy's, The Brewer's Outlet is locally-owned and locally-run. Their selection is solid, having any macro you could think of, as well as a solid selection of regional microbrews, including recently having the likes of Weyerbacher, Yards, Appalachain and Victory, just to name a few. They also carry a decent selection of imports, including some Germans, Belgians and occasionally some English brews as well. Much like Tanczos, I have never had a problem with freshness of Bier here either. Their inventory fluctuates on some of the harder to find items, so your best bet is to call ahead to see what they have, if you are looking for something in particular. The staff is helpful, and above-average in the knowledge of Bier. A decent stop, all in all.
