So the bomber format needs to have great beers in it given price. Silent treatment is a lot of citrus flavor, oranges are very noticed. Poured into an ok poured body/head/lacing and gives off just a lot of citrus flavors and aromas.
This would be a really good beer in a better format but in a bomber sorry PASS.
I can't lie I"m grossly discounting this one for the price and being in the crappy bomber format without being a beer worth that.

Poured from a 22oz bottle into a pint glass.
Appearance: Deep gold/light copper color with a faint haze. Head dissipates into a thin layer that persists.
Smell: Classic pale ale.Faint citrusy hops, with background notes of light caramel malts, and a touch of biscuity character. Not a mind blower, but those who may reckon how pale ales used to taste would approve.
Taste: Balance is definitely towards the bitterness, though it is not overwhelming. Malt character is subdued (I would expect a tad more malt, considering the 5.75% ABV). Very pleasant citrus/pine hop flavor lingers. Clean, with not apparent flaws.
Mouthfeel: Light bodied, but with a creamy texture aided by ample carbonation.
Overall: An extremely pleasant pale ale. Refreshing, hoppy, without being overwhelming from any angle. People who are looking for a beer to blow their mind will likely be underwhelmed by this beer. However, people who remember how beer used to taste before the recent pissing contest of flavor/alcohol/hop concentration will appreciate this beer for what it is...good.

Silent is a appropriate name, the smell is barely audible, taste has is almost Silent. Could be good for a really Hot Dry Texas day, if you like it dry and crisp on the end this one is for you. Silence is Golden to some but for now I will pass on this one.

Sampled from a 22oz bottle purchased at Triangle Wine in Morrisville.
A - Golden and very clear with a big white head of large bubbles.
S - Citrusy, piney and slightly grassy hops.
T - Starts with pine and a mild sweetness. A nice hop bitterness picks up midway and lasts after the finish. Enough toasted malt to prop up the hops but the hops definitely run the show.
M - Moderate carbonation and consistency. Maybe a little light.
O - A very drinkable pale ale but there's a sweetness that I didn't need.
