A thick foamy head fills my snifter, leaving intricate lacing above a ruby body. Clean yet dense body.

Strong fruity west coast IPA hops with a good bready caramel malt. The malt is a bit stronger a bit more bready and thick than some of the other 7% ipa's from out west.

The flavors are just the mirror of the beer. Perfect citrus forward hops juice full of grape fruit, passion fruit, tangerines. the back is as i expected just a hair above what some of the other west coast IPAs do, still far far far from the likes of an east coast malt bomb and unquestionably west coast great!

Drinks like a 7% ipa that tastes amazing.

I highly recommend this one. It's a bit expensive coming in at 6 bucks for a bomber (cheap by bomber standards but who buys non imperial IPAs in bombers?). I can't see getting this often due to the price and I haven't looked too hard as this just appeared here, but I can't find a bottled on date so this might be a once and done.

Great to see such a small brewer making all the way to Maui. good solid IPA that is not over the top but rather shows off the hops but marries it to the malt in a easy drinking sort of way. Could drink a few of these and the hops were still fairly fresh which is a challenge in the stores in Maui as some beers sit for quite awhile.

22 picked up a few nights ago at Brewer's Haven in Boise... Enjoyed tonight... Pours a clear orange with a decent enough white head... spotty lacing.

Interesting hop profile... good citrus/resinous pine with some earthy notes.... a bit too much residual maltiness for my liking, but still well done.

Flavor mirrors the aroma with a nice balance between the bitterness and the pale maltiness... the citrus really blooms as this warms.... a very well balanced brew.

3.75's across the board.

From a 22 oz. bottle poured into a tulip glass. Rich amber tending towards brown with a one-finger snow white head that laces stickily and a bit streaky. Nose is citrus/pine hops, a little earthy and herbal, and a slight bit of malt. Taste is big hops up front, mostly of the grapefruit rind variety, with some medicinal/pine notes, and a bit of malt holding it up--but clearly a hop-forward beer. Mouthfeel is what a Northwest IPA should be--well-carbonated, a bit buttery, and super-sticky hops. I'd rate this good to very good, absolutely worth trying and even seeking out if you're in want of a good, archetypal American IPA.

Pours two and half fingers on a clear dark straw colored body.
The aroma is spicy with some lemon and a little earthy.
The taste is moderate pine and lemon bitterness backed up by a big malt bill. It finishes with a long pine bitter note.
The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation.
Quite enjoyable.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours fairly hazy deep orange copper color with a 2 finger dense and rocky light khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty foamy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big orange peel, grapefruit, tangerine, orange rind, floral, grass, caramel, pine, and floral earthiness. Very nice aromas with big citrus hop presence and moderate malt balance; with good strength. Taste of grapefruit, orange peel, tangerine, orange rind, floral, grass, pine, caramel, bread, and floral earthiness. Good amount of floral/pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, orange peel, orange rind, floral, grass, pine, caramel, bread, and floral earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and complexity of citrus/pine hops with a moderate malt balance; with zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a lightly creamy, crisp, and moderately sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice IPA. All around good complexity of citrus/pine hops and moderate malt balance; and very smooth and crisp to sip on. A very enjoyable offering.

Gushing bottle but minimal spillage, pour is dark orange, turbid and muddy with a medium head of off white. Retention is average but does leave some nice rings of lacing on the glass.

Faint malt, sticky simple syrup sweeteners with a bit of toast. Big English ale yeast presence adding vinous fruit, sticky date and raisin to a faint orange citrus hop aroma.

Sticky caramel and toffee malts, high sweetness with the ale yeast imparts flavors reminiscent of some American strong ales, red berries, vinous fruit, apples. Faint hop flavors of orange and resin. Medium bitterness with a mouth coating dry feel.

Rather heavy body, medium carbonation despite the gushing. Sticky malt, chewy and menial alcohol. Overall a bit hard to pull down.

Unbalanced and malt forward, hard to tell this is an IPA, maybe an old IPA with DIPA malt. Okay beer but not one to try again.

Serving glass: Poured from bottle into wine glass.

Appearance: Hazy orange with large white head and great lacing.

Smell: Standard IPA aroma - orange, grapefruit, pine, toasted & caramel malts.

Taste: Pretty sweet caramel backbone with grapefruit, orange and light pine. Somewhat bitter but too much lingering sweetness.

Feel: Moderate carbonation, medium body, finish is not dry enough.

Overall: Decent flavor but too sweet to be a great IPA for me.
