Bottle from Winco. High malt presence in both aroma and taste, orange zest comes in l late. ABV not readily apparent. More sweet than bitter, some brown sugar and mild toffee. Light for a strong ale, but good.

A moderate pour from a bomber into a shaker pint produces a sticky, off-white head of about an inch. The color is a pale ruddy golden with light carbonation.
I get a subtle whiff of the orange zest and some light floral and vegetal hop aroma. The flavor is quite malty, with notes of caramel that balance well with citrus and spicy notes from the zest and hops. I notice a little boozy warming as well, but the alcohol content is well concealed overall.
This is meant as a summer beer, but I'm currently enjoying it on a cold December night. It has a big malt presence and definitely works as a winter warmer.

I bought a bottle of Brass Monkey in a bottle shop. Poured in t a pint glass.
Pours a rich gold color, clear with a thin resilient white head.
Smell is a candy aroma like caramel with a faint fruit note.
Taste is a sweet caramel flavor up front, with a bourbon flavor and a dry bitter finish
Mouthfeel is full bodied and cloying.
Overall a decent strong ale. Billed a summer seasonal, but not in my book. Going over well on a chilly fall evening however.

Decent beer. Feels a lot like an IPA/DIPA.
Rich golden color. Off white head.
Smells pretty ok, neither great nor offensive. Hints of orange are nice.
Bold, rich taste. Rather bitter and hoppy. More hints of orange.
Mouthfeel is very good indeed, rich, not overcarbonated. Lovely.
Finish is very bitter, but not intense.
